Oil and Gas Grid Areas
This is the Grid Area portion of the Oil and Gas Land Division System. This is a grid system consisting of three sections, Area, Section and Unit used to describe Yukon Oil and Gas Dispositions, Leases and Licences. A Grid area shall be bounded on the east and west sides by successive meridians of longitude of the series 124 00' 00", 124 15' 00", 124 30' 00" ,etc. On the north and south sides by parallels of latitude joining the points of intersection of the east and west boundaries with successive parallels of latitude of the series 60 00' 00", 60 10' 00", 60 20' 00", etc. Every grid shall be referred to by the latitude and longitude of the northeast corner of that grid area.
