eDNA-based Detection of Freshwater Mussels in New Brunswick

PURPOSE:
Assess the distribution of freshwater mussels, including the Brook Floater (Alasmidonta varicosa), the Eastern Pearlshell (Margaritifera margaritifera), and the Yellow Lampmussel (Lampsilis cariosa) in New Brunswick.

DESCRIPTION:
This dataset contains the results of work undertaken from 2017 to 2024 to assess the distribution of freshwater mussels using environmental DNA (eDNA) surveys and species-specific qPCR assays.
