Indigenous Boundaries - 250K
For the purpose of this dataset, an Indigenous government or group refers to both elected Indigenous governments, and entities that are formally designated to represent individual Indigenous rights-holders but does not include Indigenous advocacy organizations such as the Assembly of First Nations, the Council of Yukon First Nations or boards, committees or councils established to represent community interests.For the purpose of this data set, Indigenous governments can include but is not limited to a Yukon First Nation or a transboundary Indigenous government. A “Yukon First Nation” refers to a First Nation that is included in the definition of “Yukon First Nation” in the Umbrella Final Agreement, and includes: Carcross/Tagish First Nation, Champagne and Aishihik First Nations, Kluane First Nation, Kwanlin Dün First Nation, Liard First Nation (Kaska Nation), Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation, First Nation of Nacho Nyak Dun, Ross River Dena Council (Kaska Nation), Selkirk First Nation, Ta’an Kwach’an Council, Teslin Tlingit Council, Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in (identified in the Umbrella Final Agreement as “Dawson First Nation”), Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation, and White River First Nation.A transboundary Indigenous government refers to an Indigenous government that is based outside of the Yukon, and includes: Acho Dene Koe First Nation, Dease River First Nation (Kaska Nation), Kwadacha Nation (Kaska Nation), Gwich’in Tribal Council, Tetlit Gwich’in Council, Inuvialuit Regional Corporation, Inuvialuit Game Council, Tahltan Central Government, Taku River Tlingit First Nation, and Pehdzeh Ki First Nation.For this dataset, a boundary is a depiction of a division between different geographic regions associated with an Indigenous government (e.g., a full or partial periphery of a “traditional territory”). A boundary can include, but is not limited to, a “traditional territory” or “Traditional Territory”. For this dataset, a traditional territory or Traditional Territory is a geographic area where a group of Indigenous Peoples holds or asserts Indigenous rights, and which may be established by a treaty or confirmed in a court ruling.The term “Traditional Territory” (capitalized) is defined in the Umbrella Final Agreement and specifically refers to the territories identified in the maps submitted by each Yukon First Nation during the negotiation of that agreement and each Yukon First Nation final agreement. Some Indigenous governments and groups or the text of their treaty agreements do not use the term “traditional territory”. For example, the Gwich’in Tribal Council’s boundary in Yukon is more accurately described as Tetlit Gwich'in Yukon Lands and the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation’s boundary in Yukon is more accurately described as the Inuvialuit Settlement Region. Surface disturbance mapping extent
This data shows the spatial extent of surface disturbance mapping projects completed by GIS contractors on behalf of Environment Yukon. Forest Resources Management Plans - 250k
The purpose of this feature class is to identify the individual annual allowable cut and annual limit areas as referred to in the Forest Resources Act subsection 20(2) and 31(10 of the Forest Resources Regulation). Where there is no approved Forest Resources Management Plan (FRMP) for an area, forest resources harvesting can only be authorized in an amount less than that prescribed by regulation for that area. The Forest Resources Regulation subsection 31(1) establishes the annual limits for harvesting timber resources for areas without an FRMP. These areas are referred to as the Annual Limit Regions in Schedule 1 of the Regulation titled Timber Harvesting Areas. Vegetation Inventory - 5k - Leading Species
This feature delineates forest and vegetation stands in the Yukon at a scale of 1:5,000. It is an operational level forest inventory (as opposed to a management level). This inventory has been completed in various stages, between 2013 and 2014, and delineation via softcopy from stereo images acquired in the years 2007 and 2012. The aerial images used for the Haines Junction region (Champagne and Aishihik Traditional Territory) had a ground sample distance (GSD) of 40 cm and were collected in both color and infrared. This dataset includes maintenance, quarries, stockpile, borrow , and gravel pits used by Transportation Division. Other pits and quarries not used by Transportation Division are also included. Reprocessing of Yukon magnetic data for NTS 105G
Reprocessing of magnetic data for Yukon was performed between November 2016 and March 2017. Aeromagnetic data were compiled, data of different resolutions were merged, and a series of images individually levelled for each map sheet were produced. For each 250k-scale map, the following magnetic derivative maps were produced: 1. Residual Total Magnetic Field; 2. Reduced-to-Pole Magnetic Field (RTP); 3. First Vertical Derivative of the Reduced-to-Pole Magnetic Field (RTP_VD); and 4. Tilt Derivative of the Reduced-to-Pole Magnetic Field (RTP_TDR). These maps are provided as pdfs, geotiffs and Geosoft grid files. Colour ramps/legends are provided for each map.

Residual total magnetic field, Northern Stevenson Ridge Aeromagnetic Survey, NTS 115O/1, 1150/2 and part of 115O/3, Yukon
This map of the residual total magnetic field was derived from data acquired during an aeromagnetic survey carried out by Goldak Airborne Surveys during the period May 16, 2009 to July 1, 2009. The data were recorded using a split-beam cesium vapour magnetometer mounted in the tail boom of a Piper Navajo aircraft. The nominal traverse and control line spacings were 400 m and 2400 m, respectively, and the aircraft flew at a nominal terrain clearance of 150 m.
