SurfaceTypeSummary
Highway summary statistics tableThis table provides summary statistics for Highways based on regions and surface types.
Gold Potential
This map service provides access to most of the Resource Map datasets shown on the GeoAtlas application.**Please Note – All published Saskatchewan Geological Survey datasets, including those available through the Saskatchewan Mining and Petroleum GeoAtlas, are sourced from the Enterprise GIS Data Warehouse. They are therefore identical and share the same refresh schedule. This map service is used by the GeoATLAS web application, sub-section Resource Map in the Mineral Exploration theme. It includes Base Metals Potential, Coal Potential, Gold Potential, Helium Potential, Bitumen (Oil Sands) Potential, Lithium Potential, Potash and Salt Resource Potential, Rare Earth Elements Potential and Uranium Potential schema in Production Data Warehouse. Note: Oil and Gas pools are found in the /Petroleum service.
Mining and Industrial Facilities
Saskatchewan Mining and Industrial facilities with permits managed by Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment (Environmental Protection Branch). The Ministry of Environment manages a dataset of mining and industrial facilities it regulates. This content will help increase awareness and transparency regarding these activities in the province. These include agricultural processing facilities, mining facilities, power generation facilities, oil and gas processing facilities, and industrial waste management facilities. For further information, please contact the Ministry of Environment Inquiry Centre (Toll Free) 1-800-567-4224, centre.inquiry@gov.sk.ca or visit the link on saskatchewan.ca. Locations are approximate and do not capture the entire facilities footprint. Information on this map is provided as a public service by the Government of Saskatchewan. We cannot guarantee that all information is current and accurate. Users should verify the information before acting on it. The Saskatchewan Government does not assume any responsibility for any damages caused by (mis)use of this map.
Cantuar Structure
These structure, isopach and zero edge files are part of a series of stratigraphic framework maps for the Saskatchewan Phanerozoic Fluids and Petroleum Systems (SPFPS) project. The series of stratigraphic framework maps for the Saskatchewan Phanerozoic Fluids and Petroleum Systems (SPFPS) project have been produced using 2 km equi-spaced modified grids generated from Golden Software’s Surfer 9 kriging algorithm. The dataset used to produce each of the maps in this series was created using data from several projects completed by the Ministry (Christopher, 2003; Saskatchewan Industry and Resources et al., 2004; Kreis et al., 2004; Marsh and Heinemann, 2006; Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources et al., 2007; Heinemann and Marsh, 2009); these data were validated and edited as required to facilitate correlations between the various regional projects. In addition, to minimize edge effects during contouring, the senior author also generated stratigraphic data from wells in adjacent jurisdictions.
Conservation Easement
Conservation Easements on private land in Saskatchewan.Conservation easements are legal agreements between a landowner and a conservation agency to preserve natural features and resources on private lands. Under these agreements, landowners continue to own and manage the land which provides benefits to both the landowner and the environment. As a landowner, you can take steps to preserve your property"s conservation values, and retain use of the land, by entering into an agreement with an eligible conservation agency or level of government.Conservation easements can be permanent or granted for a specified time. Reasons why an easement may be granted:-To protect, enhance or restore a natural area;-To preserve an open stretch of land; or-To retain significant archaeological or historic features.
Lithoprobe Lines
This map service provides access to the Geophysical Survey Index datasets shown on the GeoAtlas application.**Please Note – All published Saskatchewan Geological Survey datasets, including those available through the Saskatchewan Mining and Petroleum GeoAtlas, are sourced from the Enterprise GIS Data Warehouse. They are therefore identical and share the same refresh schedule. This map service provides access to the Geophysical Survey Index datasets shown on the GeoAtlas application. It will contain data related to Lithoprobe Lines, NATGAM Spectrometer and Aeromagnetic Survey Indexes data.
