This GIS dataset is a Yukon-wide compilation of surficial geology points derived from 13 published and unpublished 1:250,000 scale surficial geology maps produced by the GSC and YGS. Point features captured include: field station, fossil and sample locations; glacial landforms such as erratics, kames, kettles, drumlins and flutings; permafrost features such as pingos, palsas, patterned ground and thermokarst depressions; and other non-glacial landforms such as landslides and tors.

Created for distribution by the GeoYukon application as a comprehensive resource for all publicly available Reference information in the Yukon Government. This data may be used directly by other applications to dynamically display Yukon data; however, it may be subject to change as data sets are updated or added.

Landscape hazard maps were completed as part of a community hazards mapping program coordinated by the Northern Climate ExChange (Yukon Research Centre, Yukon College). Potential landscape hazards were assessed under changing future conditions by incorporating a variety of data sets, including surficial geology, topography (slope and aspect), permafrost distribution, site-specific permafrost data (e.g. ground penetrating radar, electrical resistivity tomography and borehole data), analyses of past hydrological and climatological trends, and future climate projections. The landscape hazard map identifies existing and potential geological hazards such as landslides, permafrost stability and flooding. The hazard map is presented in stoplight colours to provide an intuitive tool for community decision makers aiming to incorporate an adaptation planning framework into existing land use management practices. Historic placer mining areas in Yukon can be grouped into ten areas: Klondike; Sixtymile; Fortymile; Clear Creek; Moosehorn Range; Stewart River; Whitehorse South; Mayo; Dawson Range and Livingstone Creek. Each area has its own geomorphic setting and depositional history which is related to its glacial history. Several Quaternary glacial advances have been described in Yukon, and these are generally divided into three episodes, commonly known as the pre-Reid, Reid and McConnell, in order of oldest to most recent. National Road Network Road Segment data of Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, Alberta, and British Columbia. The data sets were clipped to the Yukon Territory CSW extent and merged. Yukon Transportation fields were added that provide road management information. The Yukon Transportation fields also apply to British Columbia highways maintained by Yukon Department of Highways and Public Works. The NRN product is distributed in the form of thirteen provincial or territorial datasets and consists of two linear entities (Road Segment and Ferry Connection Segment) and three punctual entities (Junction, Blocked Passage, Toll Point) with which is associated a series of descriptive attributes such as, among others: First House Number, Last House Number, Street Name Body, Place Name, Functional Road Class, Pavement Status, Number Of Lanes, Structure Type, Route Number, Route Name, Exit Number. The development of the NRN was realized by means of individual meetings and national workshops with interested data providers from the federal, provincial, territorial and municipal governments. In 2005, the NRN edition 2.0 was alternately adopted by members from the Inter-Agency Committee on Geomatics (IACG) and the Canadian Council on Geomatics (CCOG). The NRN content largely conforms to the ISO 14825 from ISO/TC 204.

Surveyed Condominium are Real Property Object representing the spatial extents of a condominium or apartment unit to which rights or interests can be registered. Condominium common areas are not included within this definition. Common areas are not spatially represented within the ICM Database. Condominium units must be associated to a Land Parcel.
