Spatial representation of a reserve of retention area associated with a silvicultural system. Reserves are forest patches or individual trees retained during harvesting, or other forestry operations to provide habitat, scenic, biodiversity, and other values. The reserve types included are Riparian, Wildlife Tree Patches, and Other. This is part of the Silviculture and Land status Tracking dataset, which includes all business processes required to receive and process records from forest licensees to record report on Silviculture and Land Status Management activities.

The Forest Reserve Range Distribution Units dataset represent the functional grazing management areas within the Rocky Mountains Forest Reserve. Boundaries of the allotments and/or distribution units may be defined by fencelines, height of land, natural boundaries, and/or a combination of these. This is currently the most accurate representation of the distribution unit boundary and is subject to change. In some cases these boundaries may extend beyond the boundary of the Rocky Mountains Forest Reserve. In these cases this is a representation of the management unit as a whole.

The Rocky Mountains Forest Reserve dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent Rocky Mountains Forest Reserves in Alberta. The Rocky Mountains Forest Reserve is an area designated through a Legislature Act in 1948 that provides the conservation of the forests and the protection of the watersheds and rivers on the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains.

The spatial representation of a Forest Stewardship Plan and Forest Development Units. A Forest Stewardship Plan is a plan submitted by a forest industry licensee stating how the BC Government's objectives for managing the province's forest resources will be met. It identifies the plan-holder's obligations for a five-year period. The Forest Development Unit is the spatially-mapped area of land within a Forest Stewardship Plan where specific forest practices obligations apply to specific forest licensees.

Forest stands (FSTAND) is a vector delineation of relatively homogeneous forest stands or naturally non-forested areas as polygons with a 0.5 ha minimum area and a 2.0 ha median area.Download: Here The Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment, Forest Service Branch, has developed a forest resource inventory (FRI) which meets a variety of strategic and operational planning information needs for the boreal plains. Such needs include information on the general land cover, terrain, and growing stock (height, diameter, basal area, timber volume and stem density) within the provincial forest and adjacent forest fringe. This inventory provides spatially explicit information as 10 m or 20 m raster grids and as vectors polygons for relatively homogeneous forest stands or naturally non-forested areas with a 0.5 ha minimum area and a 2.0 ha median area. This layer contains current Landscape Reserve Design (LRD) polygons associated the Great Bear Rainforest. The spatial data layer excludes sensitive information and is publicly viewable and downloadable. This data represents legally established and spatially defined LRD areas and are designed to meet Great Bear Rainforest requirements for Old Forest representation, Indigenous features and resources, wildlife values, and rare and endangered ecosystems that are identified during landscape unit planning or operational planning processes. Forest licensees are required to implement Ecosystem Based Management during operational planning processes to concurrently maintain ecosystem integrity and improve human well-being. This spatial view displays the current legal polygons, with more to be added as LRDs are established.
