Glacial Drift Thickness
This dataset represents surface to bedrock isopach (thickness in metres) map of glacial drift for the Province of Saskatchewan at 1:1 000 000 scale. This dataset represents surface to bedrock isopach (thickness in metres) map of glacial drift at 1:1 000 000 scale. This data was created as a file geodatabase feature class and output for public distribution. **Please Note – All published Saskatchewan Geological Survey datasets, including those available through the Saskatchewan Mining and Petroleum GeoAtlas, are sourced from the Enterprise GIS Data Warehouse. They are therefore identical and share the same refresh schedule.
Glacial limits - 1M
Yukon Territory has been glaciated by Cordilleran and montane glaciers at various times throughout the Pleistocene, as well as by continental ice, the Laurentine Ice Sheet in the Late Pleistocene. Throughout the Late Cenozoic, each successive glaciation appears to have been less extensive than the previous one. In west-central Yukon the earliest glaciation occurred between 2.6 and 2.9 Ma. ago (Duk-Rodkin and Barendregt, 1997). This glaciation was the most extensive and formed a continuous carapace of ice covering all the mountain ranges, except for a small area of Dawson Range and a more extensive area in northern Yukon. The Mid Pleistocene Cordilleran glaciation was less extensive than older glaciations but it formed an extensive ice sheet covering most of the northern Cordillera. The Late Pleistocene glaciation was the most restrictive and formed a continuous carapace of ice from the continental divide to the Saint Elias Mountains, but only restricted ice caps formed on the Ogilvie Mountains. During the last glaciation, the Laurentide Ice Sheet, flowing from the east, reached the northeast part of the Yukon Territory ca. 30 ka ago.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Groundwater Flow, Groundwater Geoscience Program
Groundwater flow is the movement of water in an aquifer or hydrogeological unit. The dataset shows groundwater flow rate and direction in the hydrogeological unit. Groundwater flow is establish from piezometric surface map. The method used to create the dataset is described in the metadata associated with the dataset. The dataset represents a description of the flow, including rate in m/d, direction, date and source. Typically, the data provided will not be in the form of a shapefile with linked properties but in the form of an image that sketches the groundwater flow. The image could also represent a cross section of the hydrogeologic units showing the regional trends of the groundwater flow.
Central Kivalliq Glacial Dynamics - 2025 field data
This dataset compiles information and photographs collected at 49 observation stations during a field campaign conducted from July 31 to August 11, 2025, in the central part of the Kivalliq region. It includes the locations of sites where ice-flow indicators were measured, along with their relative chronology where it could be determined in the field. It also includes the locations of till sampling sites collected for geochemical and indicator mineral analyses, as well as sites where boulders and bedrock surfaces were sampled for terrestrial cosmogenic isotope dating.Analytical results and interpretations will be presented in subsequent publications.
Placer Streams - 250k
Historic placer mining areas in Yukon can be grouped into ten areas: Klondike; Sixtymile; Fortymile; Clear Creek; Moosehorn Range; Stewart River; Whitehorse South; Mayo; Dawson Range and Livingstone Creek. Each area has its own geomorphic setting and depositional history which is related to its glacial history. Several Quaternary glacial advances have been described in Yukon, and these are generally divided into three episodes, commonly known as the pre-Reid, Reid and McConnell, in order of oldest to most recent.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Ice-Flow Indicators
This dataset represent the Ice Flow Indicator compilation for the province of Saskatchewan. This dataset represents glacial ice flow indicators compiled from recent and historical bedrock and surficial geology maps and digital datasets. The data was created as file geodatabase feature class and output for public distribution. **Please Note – All published Saskatchewan Geological Survey datasets, including those available through the Saskatchewan Mining and Petroleum GeoAtlas, are sourced from the Enterprise GIS Data Warehouse. Quaternary geology
Quaternary geology includes information relating to heavy mineral samples, morpho-sedimentological zones, surface morphology, erratic boulders, glacial erosion marks, and observation sites.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Total Land and Water Area by Ecodistrict
The National Ecological Framework for Canada's "Total Land and Water Area by Ecodistrict” dataset provides land and water area values for ecodistrict framework polygons, in hectares. It includes attributes for a polygon’s total area, land-only area and large water body area.
