Assessment Report Footprints
This data set represents the geographical extents of the work performed in annual Yukon mining assessment reports. The assessment reports are submitted by the owners of mining claims and are a technical report outlining the work done on their claim. This data set is updated quarterly.
Assessment Report Geochemistry
The Yukon Geological Survey stores a significant amount of geological information gathered by exploration companies in compliance with the Quartz Mining Act. This information is primarily contained in assessment reports (AR). Since 1920, more than 8000 hardrock assessment reports have been collected, with more than 6000 of these containing geochemical data on surficial samples (e.g., soil, rock, stream sediment, and vegetation). The sheer volume and historical depth of these data provide valuable insight into the mineral potential of the Yukon. Exploration companies rely on data from ARs to search for exploration targets. To aid exploration companies, YGS has developed this database to consolidate geochemical data extracted from assessment reports. This database, the Geochemical Assessment Report Data Extracted database (GARDEd), was created by extracting and compiling data from more than 300 assessment reports. GARDEd was initially populated with data from samples within a 75 km radius of the Casino deposit to evaluate the data extraction procedures and assess the feasibility of the database. Data capture focused on recent ARs because these were available in digital format. The initial release of this database contains approximately 10% of the geochemical data from surface samples within Yukon ARs.YGS encourages users to send feedback to [geology@yukon.ca](mailto:geology@yukon.ca) to assess the usefulness of the dataset and determine how much effort should be invested to capture older, non-digital ARs.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://mapservices.gov.yk.ca/GeoYukon/) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/) . Annual Tree Species (1984-2022)
In this dataset, we share maps of annual dominant tree species (also known as leading tree species) from 1984-2022 covering the entirety of Canada's 650 Mha forested ecosystems using Landsat time-series imagery at a 30-m spatial resolution. It is developed within the framework of Canada’s National Terrestrial Ecosystem Monitoring System (NTEMS). Classifications are based on regionally representative Random Forests model using local training samples from Canada's National Forest Inventory (Hermosilla et al., 2024). Descriptive metrics provide information on spectral, geographic, climatic, and topographic characteristics. Initial annual tree species classifications were subjected to a time series post-classification process using the forward-backward Hidden Markov Model to improve the temporal consistency of tree species transitions within the time series. Assessment of the annual species maps using independent validation data resulted in an overall accuracy of 86.1% ± 0.14% (95%-confidence interval). These data allow consistent comparison of trends and rates of change in tree species composition nationally and across regions using a common time frame, spatial resolution, and analytical approach.Hermosilla, T., Wulder, M.A., White, J.C., Coops, N.C., Bater, C.W., Hobart, G.W., 2024. Great Lakes Fish Biodiversity Database
The Great Lakes Fish Biodiversity Science Database is a compilation of fish community and habitat data from DFO Science surveys, primarily related to freshwater fishes of conservation concern in the Great Lakes basin. Data include: sampling site location, date, fish species and counts, and associated habitat information. Project-specific details including purpose/objectives and study methodology are often reported in the DFO Canadian data report of fisheries and aquatic sciences series.
Great Lakes Aquatic Invasive Species Surveillance Database
The Aquatic Invasive Species Surveillance Database is a compilation of fish community and habitat data from DFO’s Aquatic Invasive Species and Invasive Carp Program early detection surveillance efforts in Canadian waters of the Great Lakes basin. Data includes: sampling site location, date, fish species and counts, and associated habitat information. Annual project-specific details including purpose/objectives and study methodology are often reported in the DFO Canadian manuscript report of fisheries and aquatic sciences series.
Radionuclide Releases - Canadian Nuclear Laboratories / Stack Emissions
This dataset contains the total annual releases of radionuclides released directly to the environment through stack emissions from facilities operated by Canadian Nuclear Laboratories in Canada. This original radionuclide releases dataset of the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories provides results for both stack emissions and direct discharge (i.e. releases to water). The dataset has been divided in two subsets for better discoverability. In this record as its title indicates, you will find the stack emissions results mapped. Make sure to look at the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories direct discharge record in order to obtain a complete picture.Regulatory Oversight Report for Canadian Nuclear Laboratories Sites - 2018: https://nuclearsafety.gc.ca/eng/resources/publications/reports/regulatory-oversight-reports/cnl-report-2018.cfm

Maritimes Region Atlantic Zone Monitoring Program 1991 to 2020 Hydrographic Transect Climatology
The hydrographic 1991 to 2020 climatology for the Maritimes region Atlantic Zone Monitoring Program core transects, Cabot Strait, Louisbourg, Halifax, Browns Bank, and Northeast Channel, are calculated to support annual reporting on seasonal variability. Details on data coverage for these transects and ancillary transects occupied since the inception of the program are provided. Comparisons with the previous climatology period, years 1981 to 2010, are summarized when possible.Cite this data as: Layton, C. Ontario Forest Historical Annual Report Data
Each year, forest managers report on the activities they conduct under approved forest management plans. Each annual report includes data for only a single year and a single management unit. We then consolidate this information for all of Ontario’s managed forests (all management units). We make this data available in two ways: 1. __Tabular data__ through [statistics (text)](https://www.ontario.ca/page/forest-management-facts-and-figures), [visual trends (charts)](https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/larlo/vizzes), or [open data (CSV files)](https://data.ontario.ca/dataset/report-on-forest-management-annual-summary-of-ontario-s-forest-management-activities). If you are not familiar with GIS data, these options provide a great way to explore the information. 2. __Spatial (map-based) data__ through this ESRI geodatabase data package. This option is intended for users who need to analyze forestry operations across the province and/or over extended time periods. It consolidates hundreds of individual layers into a smaller number of comprehensive layers. The data package includes the data dictionary (Technical Specification) in PDF format, which contains information about: * Forest Harvest (HRV) * Establishment Survey (EST/FTG) * Forest Regeneration (RGN) * Forestry Roads and Water Crossings (RDS/WTX) * Site Preparation (SIP) * Forestry Tending (TND) * Silviculture Ground Rule Changes (SGR) This data package is updated periodically once all management units publish their annual reports. This means the most recent annual report data for a specific management unit may not yet be included. You can find the latest management unit annual report data on the [Forest Management Planning Annual Report](https://lio.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=5ff9195d168544739741ed9ba1192d60) page. For additional annual report information—including text, tabular data, and maps—the Forest Information Manual requires the [Natural Resources Information Portal (NRIP)](https://nrip.mnr.gov.on.ca/s/fmp-online?language=en_US) as the means to transfer and store the source information.
