Results from temperature preference experiments demonstrated that individual personality was consistent and repeatability. Individual preferred and maximum avoidance temperatures were significantly reduced in hypoxia compared to normoxia. Standard metabolic rate increased with temperature and body mass. Patterns of projected habitat change suggest the spatial extent of the current distribution of Carmine shiner would shift north with global warming. The understanding of habitat requirements and responses to climate will aid management and recovery efforts for this threatened species.Cite this dataset as: Enders, Eva. NatureServe conservation concern ranking categories reflect population size and trend, genetic and demographic isolation, as well as threats to bears and their habitats. The data is from the Census Profile, Statistics Canada Catalogue no. 98-316-X2016001.Aboriginal identity refers to whether the person identified with the Aboriginal peoples of Canada. This includes those who are First Nations (North American Indian), Métis or Inuk (Inuit) and/or those who are Registered or Treaty Indians (that is, registered under the Indian Act of Canada) and/or those who have membership in a First Nation or Indian band.
