Canada Energy Regulator - Assessments
This dataset represents the Environmental and Socio-economic Assessments (ESA) submitted to the Canada Energy Regulator (CER). The CER has made this and other ESAs available through an online search tool called BERDI (Biophysical Socio-Economic Regional Data and Information). Data extraction methodology is available on the BERDI website. Pipelines represented in this layer include a start and end point.

Bacteriological monitoring of the river - Potential bathing sites
This theme presents the index of water health along the banks of the St. Lawrence River. It makes it possible to determine if the sites present risks to human health and if they are suitable for swimming. These data are the result of an exploratory monitoring program that aims to raise awareness among the population and local actors about the possible reopening of bathing sites that have good potential. This program also makes it possible to highlight any improvement in bacteriological quality resulting from the reduction of wastewater overflows during rainy weather or resulting from the installation of disinfection equipment.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Ocean Data Inventory ( ODI ): A Database of Ocean Current, Temperature and Salinity Time Series for the Northwest Atlantic
The Ocean Data Inventory database is an inventory of all of the oceanographic time series data held by the Ocean Science Division at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography. The data archive includes about 5800 current meter and acoustic doppler time series, 4500 coastal temperature time series from thermographs, as well as a small number (200) of tide gauges. Many of the current meters also have temperature and salinity sensors. The area for which there are data is roughly defined as the North Atlantic and Arctic from 30° - 82° N, although there are some minor amounts of data from other parts of the world. The time period is from 1960 to present. The database is updated on a regular basis.
GeoAI - Change detection use case - Québec City
Temporal analysis of changes in Quebec city based on GeoAI features automatically extracted from satellite images acquired in 2006 and 2022. Simple geospatial analysis enables the detection of features present in 2022 that were not already there in 2006. The addition of new buildings is a good indicator of urban development and/or sprawl.GeoAI enables temporal coverage of various areas in Canada, thus providing a useful tool for change detection and trend analysis at high resolution. While the series is still fairly new, and such examples are limited for the time being, NRCan strives to gradually increase its GeoAI data offering for both spatial and temporal coverage. For more information about the GeoAI - GeoBase Series, please visit the following link: https://open.canada.ca/data/en/dataset/74738ff5-5367-5958-9aee-98fffdcd1876
