Radioactive Boulders
This dataset shows the location of radioactive boulders for the Province of Saskatchewan. This dataset shows the location of radioactive boulders compiled from the Ministry of Energy and Resources’ assessment files for the Province of Saskatchewan. This is a work in progress and some data is currently missing. Some assessment files did not include radioactive measurements, only that the boulders are above background radiation. The data was created as a file geodatabase feature class and output for public distribution. **Please Note – All published Saskatchewan Geological Survey datasets, including those available through the Saskatchewan Mining and Petroleum GeoAtlas, are sourced from the Enterprise GIS Data Warehouse. They are therefore identical and share the same refresh schedule.
Locations of Uraniferous Boulder Fields and Swamps along the North Shore of Lake Athabasca, NTS 74M (GIS data, polygon features)
Locations of uraniferous boulders fields and uraniferous swamps extracted from industry assessment reports are useful metallogenetic indicators for uranium exploration within and around the Athabasca Basin. They are used as pathfinders to uranium occurrences and prospects. These locations along the northern rim of the Athabasca Basin in Alberta have been compiled in GIS format and delivered as a polygon shapefile. In Alberta, the northern rim of the Athabasca Basin and the regolith underlying the Athabasca unconformity are locally exposed along the northern shore of Lake Athabasca. Extensive uranium exploration work in the 1970s, including scintillometer prospecting traverses, geological mapping, airborne and ground geophysics, and drilling, have documented several uraniferous outcrops with scintillometer readings of up to 10 000 counts per second, and uraniferous boulders and boulder trains with radioactivity up to two orders of magnitude higher than the background. Near the Alberta-Saskatchewan border, uraniferous boulders show geochemical characteristics consistent with a Saskatchewan source, whereas to the west boulders have a distinct geochemical signal suggesting a local source in Alberta.
Central Kivalliq Glacial Dynamics - 2025 field data
This dataset compiles information and photographs collected at 49 observation stations during a field campaign conducted from July 31 to August 11, 2025, in the central part of the Kivalliq region. It includes the locations of sites where ice-flow indicators were measured, along with their relative chronology where it could be determined in the field. It also includes the locations of till sampling sites collected for geochemical and indicator mineral analyses, as well as sites where boulders and bedrock surfaces were sampled for terrestrial cosmogenic isotope dating.Analytical results and interpretations will be presented in subsequent publications.
Surficial Geological Units, Groundwater Geoscience Program
Surficial geologic units are unconsolidated materials overlying bedrock. The dataset represents a general description of the stratigraphy and geology, including geologic unit thickness, morphology, age and rank. It features a list of the geologic unit names and types of sediment in the hydrogeological unit. While the preferred format to deliver this data is by using a shapefile and its linked attributes, this dataset can be delivered also by providing link to external data which should have at least the same properties or also by joining a georeferenced image of the map.
Bedrock Geological Units, Groundwater Geoscience Program
The bedrock geologic units designate units of the same types of rock which composed the solid rock exposed at ground surface (as outcrop) or which underlies unconsolidated surficial sediments. This dataset represents a general description of the stratigraphy and geology, including geologic unit thickness, morphology, age and rank. It features a list of the geologic unit names and types of rock (lithology) in the hydrogeological unit, from a controlled vocabulary. While the preferred format to deliver this data is by using a shapefile and its linked attributes, this dataset can be delivered also by providing link to external data which should have at least the same properties or also by joining a georeferenced image of the map.
Locations of Uraniferous Boulders, Outcrops and Pits along the North Shore of Lake Athabasca, NTS 74L,M (GIS data, point features)

Cratonic Elements
This map service provides access to the Cratonic Elements dataset shown on the GeoAtlas application.**Please Note – All published Saskatchewan Geological Survey datasets, including those available through the Saskatchewan Mining and Petroleum GeoAtlas, are sourced from the Enterprise GIS Data Warehouse. They are therefore identical and share the same refresh schedule. This dataset shows the Cratonic Elements of the province of Saskatchewan at 1:1 million scale. This data was compiled using years of bedrock mapping, compiled into a file geodatabase feature class and output for public distribution.

Watercourses - 1M
Atlas of Canada National Frameworks data are standardized national coverages of commonly used geospatial datasets at the 1:1 000 000 scale. The Drainage Network Skeleton dataset is comprised of linear features: single line rivers, flow lines within waterbodies and ocean coastlines. Flow lines within waterbodies are virtual linear features representing the hydrological flow through area features (e.g. lakes, rivers and intermittent waterbodies). These flow lines complete the linear network where rivers would run through lakes, permitting hydrologic network analysis and cartographic generalization. This dataset is required for analytical applications. The coastline component of the Drainage Network Skeleton also delineates oceanic islands. The National Scale Frameworks Hydrology data consists of area, linear and point geospatial and attribute data for Canada's hydrology at a national scale. It provides a representation of Canada's surface water features, and data completeness reflects the content of the source, the original Vector Map level 0 (VMAP0) revision 4 hydrographic layers, except where revision editing has been performed. Key value-added characteristics include river flow direction, connectivity and the tagging of geographical name keys to selected rivers, lakes and islands included in the Concise Gazetteer of Canada. The Atlas Frameworks are a set of integrated base map layers which form part of a larger National Scale Frameworks data collection. These data have been compiled at a scale of 1:1 000 000 with the primary goal being to indicate correct relative positioning with other framework layers rather than absolute positional accuracy.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Structural Culverts - 25k
The purpose of this dataset is to provide structural culvert locations along highways . The definition of a Structural Culvert is a culvert with span of 2 metres or greater. Drainage culverts have a diameter less than 2 metres and are not included in this dataset.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) .
