Automatically Extracted Buildings
“Automatically Extracted Buildings” is a raw digital product in vector format created by NRCan. The feature classes of this product delineate polygonal building footprints automatically extracted from airborne Lidar data, high-resolution optical imagery or other sources. The first feature class, Automatically Extracted Buildings by acquisition source, contains building footprints delivered according to the spatial extent of each source dataset used for extraction. When the spatial extents of acquisition sources overlap, footprints for the same building may therefore be duplicated in this class. The second feature class, Optimized Buildings Layer, is an assembled and harmonized layer derived from the buildings by acquisition source. Its objective is to provide a unique representation of each building footprint by removing duplicates and resolving overlaps between sources.
buildings
Buildings located on the territory of the City of Sherbrooke and belonging to one of the following categories: business, hospital, school or municipal building. These categories are respectively associated with subtype codes 2, 3, 4, and 5 attributes:ID - Unique IdentifierSubtype - Building Subtype Code (2 - Business, 3 - Hospital, 4 - Hospital, 4 - School, 4 - School, 5 - Municipal Building)**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Building as Symbol
A building is a structure that has a roof and walls and stands more or less permanently in one place. Symbols are used when buildings and structures are permanent landmarks. Symbolized buildings have no side larger than 50 metres for 1:20,000 data or no side larger than 30 metres for 1:10,000 data. Small structures (including buildings less than 50 square metres) are not shown unless they constitute a point of orientation. This product requires the use of geographic information system (GIS) software. Building to Scale
A building is a structure that has a roof and walls and stands more or less permanently in one place. Small buildings have only their location recorded. A 'building to scale' is a structure that has one dimension larger than 50 metres for the 1: 20,000 scale and larger than 30 metres for the 1: 10,000 scale. Their extents are recorded. This product requires the use of geographic information system (GIS) software.

The State of Mass Timber in Canada
The SMTC map and database provides the location of, and information about completed, under construction, or planned mass timber projects and manufacturing facilities in Canada. Project information includes building size, height, occupancy, mass timber materials used, year of construction, and other criteria. Manufacturer information includes facility location, materials produced, and production capacity.

Building Footprints
Dataset of building footprints in the Yukon Territory. Building footprints were extracted from LiDAR orthophotos using deep learning. Manual corrections were applied to both erroneous and missed building extractions. The Regularize Building Footprint tool was used to reduce vertices and simplify the footprints. A tolerance of 1 was used, with a precision of 0.25.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps). ParcelMap BC Parcel Polygons
ParcelMap BC is the current, complete and trusted mapped representation of titled and Crown land parcels across British Columbia, considered to be the point of truth for the graphical representation of property boundaries. It is not the authoritative source for the legal property boundary or related records attributes; this will always be the plan of survey or the related registry information. This particular dataset is a subset of the complete ParcelMap BC data and is comprised of the parcel polygons and attributes for over two million parcels published under the Open Government Licence - British Columbia. This dataset does __NOT__ include parcel representations (i.e. distinct polygons with unique PID identifiers) for [Building Strata Parcels](https://help.ltsa.ca/parcelmap-bc/building-strata-parcels) - Building Strata parcels are represented by a single polygon uniquely identified by the Strata Plan Number (i.e. individual strata lot PIDs are not included). For a dataset which includes unique polygon features (stacked geometries) for each Building Strata parcel, please use the [ParcelMap BC Parcel Fabric](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/4cf233c2-f020-4f7a-9b87-1923252fbc24) or [ParcelMap BC Parcel Fabric - Fully Attributed](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/219eebea-b19b-47bd-938f-47d53002a3f4) dataset _or refer to the [ParcelMap BC Shared Geometry Cross Reference Table](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/b918901e-9fd3-4f01-803d-eaeca027b794), which includes the strata lot (PID) to strata plan relationship._ Notes: 1. Parcel title information is sourced from the BC Land Title Register. Title questions should be directed to a local [Land Title Office](https://ltsa.ca/land-title-office-locations). 2. The ParcelMap BC Parcel Fabric is expected to eventually replace the [Integrated Cadastral Fabric](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/7eb82072-8c74-4fce-9934-349b545fdc21).
