YESAA Mapped Communities - 50k
This data set was created upon direction from Yukon Government, DIAND, Yukon Region and CYFN following consultations with citizens of Carcross, Ross River, Old Crow and Beaver Creek. The maps for Burwash Landing, Destruction Bay, Pelly Crossing and Deep Creek reflect the community boundaries of the respective First Nation Final Agreements.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . BC Airports identifies locations where aircraft may take-off and land. No guarantee is given that an identified point will be maintained to sufficient standards for landing and take-off of any/all aircraft. It includes airports, aerodromes, water aerodromes, heliports, and airstrips.
Community Hazards - Burwash Destruction Bay - 25k
Landscape hazard maps were completed as part of a community hazards mapping program coordinated by the Northern Climate ExChange (Yukon Research Centre, Yukon College). Potential landscape hazards were assessed under changing future conditions by incorporating a variety of data sets, including surficial geology, topography (slope and aspect), permafrost distribution, site-specific permafrost data (e.g. ground penetrating radar, electrical resistivity tomography and borehole data), analyses of past hydrological and climatological trends, and future climate projections. The landscape hazard map identifies existing and potential geological hazards such as landslides, permafrost stability and flooding. The hazard map is presented in stoplight colours to provide an intuitive tool for community decision makers aiming to incorporate an adaptation planning framework into existing land use management practices. Detailed descriptions of data inputs and hazard analysis methodology are presented in an accompanying report (available for download from [https://data.geology.gov.yk.ca/Reference/68062](https://data.geology.gov.yk.ca/Reference/68062) ). An accompanying surficial geological map also describes detailed landscape characteristics such as surface landscape features, sediment texture, genetic material, surface expression and geomorphological processes (available for download from [https://data.geology.gov.yk.ca/Reference/68062](https://data.geology.gov.yk.ca/Reference/68062) ).Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Lac-Mégantic accident: aerial photography by Aéro-Photo after the incident (July 10, 2013)
On July 6, a train of 72 cars, carrying 100 tons of crude oil each, exploded in Lac-Mégantic. A high-resolution aerial photograph was collected by Aéro-Photo after the train derailment. This aerial photograph was provided and georeferenced by Aéro-Photo (1961) inc. Purpose: This aerial photograph makes it possible to identify the impact radius of the accident. The image web service (WMS) is offered as an open service. However, to obtain the raw image, please contact Aéro-Photo (1961) inc.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**

Coastal BC Marine Kayaking Destinations
The location of coastal British Columbia marine kayaking point features, such as destinations and overnight campsites. The Coastal BC datasets are circa 2004 and legacy in nature. Caution should be exercised when using this data, as it may not be accurate or complete. There are currently no plans to update.
Diving Ducks - Coastal Resource Information Management System (CRIMS)
Distribution of diving duck species habitat in coastal British Columbia showing relative abundance (RA) by season and overall relative importance (RI). RI is based on project region and not on the province as a whole. CRIMS is a legacy dataset of BC coastal resource data that was acquired in a systematic and synoptic manner from 1979 and was intermittently updated throughout the years. Resource information was collected in nine study areas using a peer-reviewed provincial Resource Information Standards Committee consisting of DFO Fishery Officers, First Nations, and other subject matter experts. There are currently no plans to update this legacy data.
Coastal BC Boat Launches
