This dataset identifies locations of wilderness and recreation tourism activities. Activities are: fishing, biking, hiking, snowmobiling, rafting, boating, flight seeing, dog mushing, driving tour, off-road vehicle, cross country skiing, canoeing, wildlife viewing. The locations were collected through interviews. Locations and areas were indicated on paper maps and transferred to digital. This is not a complete or up to date dataset. The intention is to show the boundaries of all refuges in Manitoba, as designated by the Designation of Wildlife Lands Regulation (171/2001) under The Wildlife Act (C.C.S.M. c. W130). Refuge types include Wildlife Refuge, Game Bird Refuge, Goose Refuge, and Fur Bearing Animal Refuge. The Use of Wildlife Lands Regulation (77/99) determines what activities are prohibited within each refuge.Boundaries are drawn based on the physical description described in regulation, or imported using CAD files from the official Director of Surveys Plan stated in regulation.

CryoGeographic Consulting, in association with Palmer Environmental Consulting Group Inc., provided Yukon Energy, Mines and Resources and Yukon Environment with the results of the mapping and classification of wetlands and adjacent upland habitat in the Indian River valley and its major tributaries. This report and its accompanying map set have been updated to reflect study area expansion and additional field reconnaissance completed in the summer of 2017. This dataset is used is used to determine the significance or status of wetland classes and certain other natural heritage features. It is also used to set targets for Wilderness Class Provincial parks, State of the Forest reporting and to study natural disturbance regimes.

This data record contains a digitized map reproduced from the original Passamaquoddy Marine Resource Pilot Study - 1982 Fisheries. The original map was produced by the Maritime Resource Management Service, using its GEO-BASED SYSTEM: an automated geographic information system used to create data bases and to manipulate and plot information for numerous natural resource applications. The original map is a product of the GEO-BASED SYSTEM and a conventional phot mechanical process. The fisheries information was extracted from a marine data base gathered by A.C.R.I.C. on behalf of the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Parks Canada adn the New Brunswick Department of Fisheries, encompassing the Passamaquoddy region of the Bay of Fundy.Cite this data as: Maritime Resource Management Service 1982. Ichthyoplankton surveys were conducted in the Strait of Georgia (British Columbia) during 1979-1981 to ascertain the onset of fish spawning, and to explore distributional pattern and estimate total biomass of fish species.Oblique tows were made using 0.25m2 Bongos equipped with 351 micron Nitex nets of modified SCOR design. All sampling gear was black to minimize potential avoidance and resulting catch bias. The tow procedure generally followed that established by CALCOFI.This dataset contains a compilation of corrected catches of juvenile fishes, fish eggs and fish larvae by station.

The purpose of this feature class is to identify the individual annual allowable cut and annual limit areas as referred to in the Forest Resources Act subsection 20(2) and 31(10 of the Forest Resources Regulation). Where there is no approved Forest Resources Management Plan (FRMP) for an area, forest resources harvesting can only be authorized in an amount less than that prescribed by regulation for that area. The Forest Resources Regulation subsection 31(1) establishes the annual limits for harvesting timber resources for areas without an FRMP. These areas are referred to as the Annual Limit Regions in Schedule 1 of the Regulation titled Timber Harvesting Areas.
