This Web Map Service depicts the location of clean electricity generating facilities by type of clean energy source and power generation capacity. Clean energy sources shown on the map include biomass, hydro, nuclear, solar, tidal and wind. The data comes from the provinces and territories, other federal departments and clean energy associations in Canada. The service is one of many themes mapped in the web mapping application Map of Clean Energy Resources and Projects (CERP) in Canada.

It does not differentiate areas of forest from non-forest. The Map of Forest Management in Canada differs from maps defining the area designated as “managed forest” for greenhouse gas inventory reporting purposes and does not replace those maps. Instead, the Map of Forest Management in Canada shows areas that are currently managed, and provides generalized management type classification for those areas. This service provides a compilation of Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC) produced by the Canadian Hydrographic Service. All information provided by this service conforms to the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) Publication S-57. An ENC contains all the chart information useful for navigation, and may contain supplementary information in addition to that contained in the paper chart. This service is not for navigation.

This data set presents the basemap developed as part of the Montreal by Foot (MàP) project in a web tiled map service (_Web Tile Map Service_ WTMS). It is made available in order to allow citizens and partners of the City to create web mapping tools by offering a unique graphic charter, designed specifically to promote pedestrian travel.The Montréal à Pied project aims to improve orientation and pedestrian paths throughout Montreal. The selection and classification of places of interest prioritize pedestrian and local travel. This project includes a cartographic component intended to renew the graphic signature of the representation of the City of Montreal, on digital media and on urban furniture receiving maps of the City. The basemap is intended in particular to support the representation of data [Places of interest] (places of interest) also developed under the MàP project and available as open data.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
