Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping - Broadwater
Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping for Broadwater in the Arrow Boundary Forest District (ttem_bw)
Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping - Bull Mtn
Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping for Bull Mountain in the Rocky Mountain Forest District (ttem_bm)
Terrestrial Ecosystem Information (TEI) Detailed Polygons with Short Table Attribute Table
STE_TEI_ATTRIBUTE_POLYS_SP contains Terrestrial Ecosystem Information (TEI) polygons with key and amalgamated (concatenated) attributes derived from the RISC (Resource Inventory Standards Committee) standard attributes. These describe the physical and biological characteristics of ecosystems at a landscape level. TEI currently includes Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping (TEM), Predictive Ecosystem Mapping (PEM), Sensitive Ecosystems Inventory (SEI), Terrain Mapping (TER), Wetland Mapping (WET) and Soil Mapping (SOIL). Mapping methods include manual air photo interpretation and modeling supported by limited field checking. **Current version**: v12 (2026-06-22)
Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping - Brewer Cr
Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping for Brewer Creek in the Rocky Mountain Forest District (ttem_br)
Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping - TFL 14 / Spillimachine
Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping for Tree Farm License 14 / Spllimachine in the Rocky Mountain Forest District (ttem_t14)
Broad Ecosystem Units - West Central Region
Broad Ecosystem Units were mapped using predictive modeling methods from various data sources (ranging from 1:50,000 to 1:250,000 in scale) and are referenced to the CanVec digital spatial framework (1:50,000). Broad Ecosystem Units (BEU) are a level in the Yukon bioclimate ecosystem classification system that represents areas with similar broad vegetation communities, terrain type (soils and topography) within bioclimate zones. Broad Ecosystem Units are described in the accompanying report "Regional Ecosystems of West-Central Yukon, Part 1: Ecosystem descriptions ".The intended application for mapped broad ecosystem units is 1:100,000 or smaller (1:100,000 - 1:250,000 scale) - interpretations derived from the map products should not be applied at more detailed scales, even though the resultant 30m raster map allows users to view results at more detailed resolutions. With new information, boundaries and designations of Broad Ecosystem Units can change. Updates to Broad Ecosystem Units occur only periodically. Ecoregions - Ecoregion Ecosystem Classification of British Columbia
An ecoregion is an area with major physiographic and minor macroclimatic or oceanographic variation. There are 43 ecoregion in British Columbia of which 39 are terrestrial. Ecodivsions are meant to be mapped at 1:500,000 for regional strategic planning
Maps of biogeochemistry and soil properties for use as indicators of site sensitivity to logging residue harvesting
This publication contains thirteen (13) maps of different biogeochemical and soil properties of forest ecosystems of Canada’s managed forest. A scientific article gives additional details on the methodology: Paré, D., Manka, F., Barrette, J., Augustin, F., Beguin, J. 2021. Indicators of site sensitivity to the removal of forest harvest residues at the sub-continental scale: mapping, comparisons, and challenges. Ecol. Vegetation in Northern Quebec
__The link: *Access the data directory* is available in the section*Dataset Description Sheets; Additional Information*__.The mapping of **vegetation in Northern Québec** is a component of an extensive inventory carried out to meet knowledge acquisition needs as part of the economic, social and environmental development project “**Plan Nord**”. This inventory was carried out between **2010 and 2013**. Vegetation mapping in Northern Quebec provides information on terrestrial ecosystems, both forest and non-forest, such as the type of forest cover, undergrowth vegetation, disturbances, etc. A mapping approach based on remote sensing techniques (satellite images) was used. Ground and air control points contribute to the validation and clarification of the information interpreted. This map is available for the entire territory north of the 53rd parallel, which represents an area of approximately 680,000 km2. This territory is presented on topographical bases at a scale of 1/250,000. The minimum mapping area is 16 ha for vegetation and 3 ha for wetlands.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
