Note: Some surveys for Settlement Lands identified in their agreement are not yet complete therefore there may be parcels identified with the same land claim selection ID. Facility Type (Facility Type): Facilities’ permits issued are specific to the type of product manufactured.  Facility Category: The different permit categories include: Processed Products – Facilities with permits in this category include food operations that produce processed food products (ex: condiments, candy, snack food, other prepared food). Food Warehousing, Distribution and Repackaging – Facilities with permits in this category include operations that store and distribute food products and may conduct basic repackaging ex: bulk dry goods into smaller retail packages. Meat Processing – Facilities with permits in this category include operations that make various meat products ranging from raw meat cuts to products such as sausage and jerky. Also in this category are facilities that make products like smoked fish. Their permits only allow the products to be sold within Manitoba. Bottling – Facilities with permits in this category include water bottling plants, soft drink manufacturers, breweries, wineries, distilleries, juice manufacturers, ice making plants and other similar plants. Grain/Oil Seed Processing – Facilities with permits in this category include grain and seed cleaning and packaging facilities, flourmills, oil processors, etc. Abattoirs – Facilities with permits in this category are abattoirs that slaughter animals under the oversight of a government inspector to produce meat for sale within the province. Rent calculation for the use of Crown land for communication sites purposes is based on zonal rates per site per user category. There are currently 3 zones covering the province. The dataset outlines the boundaries for these zones.

IDF - Fir Group: includes all forest polygons in NDT 4 (IDF and BG biogeoclimatic zones) that meet any of the following criteria: *a) Douglas-fir ( Fd or Fdi) leading or ponderosa pine leading; *b) Lodgepole pine leading, and Douglas-fir ( Fd or Fdi) or ponderosa pine greater than 15% in any inventory layer; *c) Trembling aspen leading, and Douglas-fir ( Fd or Fdi) or Ponderosa pine greater than 15% in any inventory layer, and spruce, red-cedar, cottonwood and birch less than 6% in any inventory layer; *d) No species information in inventory data (usually NSR stands), and inventory type group for pre-harvest stand or the current stand = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 29, or 32 These inventory type groups correspond to the following species compositions F, FC, FCy, FH, FS, FPl, Fpy, FL, FDEcid, PlF and Py.
