Coal Agreements
Coal Agreement feature class contains provincial extent polygon features representing Coal applications, agreements, leases, and licences, with varying term dates and conditions. These applications and subsequent agreements give the holder the right to explore Coal.
Coal Leases - 50k
The administration of coal projects in the Yukon is governed under the Territorial Lands (Yukon) Act (TLYA) and the Coal Regulations enabled under the TLYA. The land use permits necessary for coal exploration and development are issued by the Energy Mines and Resources Lands Branch under the TLYA. The remaining coal licenses and coal leases are issued and administered by the Mineral Resources Branch Mining Lands offices.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Discover more digital map data and interactive maps from Yukon's digital map data collection. For more information: [geomatics.help@yukon.ca](mailto:geomatics.help@yukon.ca)

MTA - Coal Grid, Group
Determines the location of Coal Titles within the Province of British Columbia. It is established under the authority of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Grid Regulation. It is defined by a set of UTM coordinates which approximate NAD 27 latitude and longitude positions. Groups are the second coarsest level of the Coal Grid and approximate 1:50,000 NTS map sheets. MTA - Coal Grid, Block
Determines the location of Coal Titles within the Province of British Columbia. It is established under the authority of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Grid Regulation. It is defined by a set of UTM coordinates which approximate NAD 27 latitude and longitude positions. Blocks are the second finest level of the coal grid. A block consists of 100 units divided into 10 rows by 10 columns. There are also 12 blocks in a group, comprising 3 rows by 4 columns and labelled A to L. E.G. 084E05L
CBM Potential of the Alberta Plains - Calculated Gas Content of the Lethbridge Coal Zone (GIS dataset)
Alberta Geological Survey created a coal and coalbed methane (CBM) database to capture and manage CBM data. The database compiles different sources and contains information on 7923 wells (15,200 formation picks, 37,357 coal picks, 495 coal analyses and 363 vitrinite reflectance measurements). From this parent dataset, individual coal zone was evaluated. This record describes the Lethbridge coal zone's calculated gas content.
Database for the Edson CBM Exploration Block-Alberta, Ardley Coal Zone Characterization and Sandstone Channels Geometry
Database is designed to define the Ardley coal picks including coal stratigraphic correlation and coal quality (clean coal, shaly-coal and coaly-shale), formation tops and lithological components, such as sandstone channels and tonstein markers. It represents the base of the Edson CBM Exploration Block-Alberta, Ardley Coal Zone Characterization and Sandstone Channels Geometry report, Earth Sciences Report 2007-06.
CBM Potential of the Alberta Plains - Isopach of the Lethbridge Coal Zone (GIS dataset)
Alberta Geological Survey created a coal and coalbed methane (CBM) database to capture and manage CBM data. The database compiles different sources and contains information on 7923 wells (15,200 formation picks, 37,357 coal picks, 495 coal analyses and 363 vitrinite reflectance measurements). From this parent dataset, individual coal zones were evaluated. This record describes the Lethbridge Coal Zone's thickness isopach.
CBM Potential of the Alberta Plains - Net Coal Thickness of the Mannville Coal Zone (GIS dataset)
This record describes the Mannville coal zone net coal thickness.
CBM Potential of the Alberta Plains - Net Coal Thickness of the McKay Coal Zone (GIS dataset)
This record describes the McKay coal zone net coal thickness.
