Updated on a weekly basis.  It is important that users are aware of the following caveats when reviewing data presented in the Animal Disease Investigations Dashboard: 1. Each investigation can have one or more cases involved depending on the number of herds or animals exposed.  Not all disease investigations are handled the same due to a partnership approach.  Diseases can be detected via surveillance, ad hoc reporting, or through other programs. 2. Rabies is a separate program. Please see Manitoba's Provincial Rabies Management Program for data related to Rabies Surveillance.3. Certain zoonotic diseases, such as salmonella or influenza, are also captured in more detail through other means.  The total occurrence of a zoonotic disease represented in this dashboard reflects occurrences where risks or exposures were deemed significant enough to warrant further investigation.  4. Historically, One Health Investigations that were predominantly focused on Public Health issues rather than Animal Health concerns were not captured in this system and will be underrepresented here. The Fish Pathology Program (FPP) located at the Pacific Biological Station in Nanaimo has been assessing the health of aquatic animals since the early 1970’s. Utilizing traditional diagnostic methods, the FPP has supported internal and external clients to provide clinical data and management advice on the health of aquatic animals. The dataset contains information from diagnostic fish health cases coming from the Salmonid Enhancement Program, Research, Public and I&T submissions. Data contained in the database includes pathogen findings from submitted cases from all of the Pacific Region.The publication of The Fish Health Database will comply with public release recommendations documented in recommendation twenty two, made in volume three of the Final Report (October 2012) submitted by the Cohen Commission of Inquiry into the Decline of the Sockeye Salmon in the Fraser River.

This tabular data contains environmental discharges (spills) in Saskatchewan with limited information outlining best known location, confirmed substance and quantity. This data is limited to events that occurred before January 1, 2015. Information is not always complete, please contact the Ministry of Environment for further details.The Ministry of Environment's Environmental Protection Branch (EPB) is responsible for responding to incidents where a substance has been discharged into the environment. Under The Environmental Management and Protection Act 2010 (EMPA, 2010), “discharge” means a discharge, drainage, deposit, release or emission into the environment. These records include locations and details of discharge incidents in the Province of Saskatchewan and are currently limited to incidents that were reported to the ministry prior to January 2015.  The Discharge Date is when the Ministry created the record. This is not necessarily the date of the discharge event. It is released under the Open Government License - Canada.The ODHF compiles open, publicly available, and directly-provided data on health facilities across Canada. Data sources include regional health authorities, provincial, territorial and municipal governments, and public health and professional healthcare bodies. This database aims to provide enhanced access to a harmonized listing of health facilities across Canada by making them available as open data. This database is a component of the Linkable Open Data Environment (LODE).

Statistics Canada, in collaboration with the Public Health Agency of Canada and Natural Resources Canada, is presenting selected Census data to help inform Canadians on the public health risk of the COVID-19 pandemic and to be used for modelling analysis. The data provided here show the counts of the population in nursing homes and/or residences for senior citizens by broad age groups (0 to 79 years and 80 years and over) and sex, from the 2016 Census.Nursing homes and/or residences for senior citizens are facilities for elderly residents that provide accommodations with health care services or personal support or assisted living care.Health care services include professional health monitoring and skilled nursing care and supervision 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for people who are not independent in most activities of daily living.Support or assisted living care services include meals, housekeeping, laundry, medication supervision, assistance in bathing or dressing, etc., for people who are independent in most activities of daily living.Included are nursing homes, residences for senior citizens, and facilities that are a mix of both a nursing home and a residence for senior citizens.Excluded are facilities licensed as hospitals, and facilities that do not provide any services (which are considered private dwellings).

Data show where pathogens - fungal, bacillial or viral - have caused damage by reducing growth rates, tree vigor or have killed trees. Examples of forest diseases include White Pine Blister Rust, Armillaria Root Rot etc. The Government of Ontario tracks forest damage events to help proactively manage the detrimental effects to our forests. We monitor the threat and spread of invasive forest pest insect species in Ontario. The data is also important to the Forest Management Planning process in calculating timber volume loss within affected areas. This product requires the use of geographic information system (GIS) software.

Table containing URL links to summary review reports on licensed personal care homes in Manitoba.This table contains URL links to reports on personal care home reviews completed by the Licensing and Compliance Branch of Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living. All licensed personal care home facilities in Manitoba are required to comply with minimum standards of care as set out in the Personal Care Home Standards Regulation under the Health Services Insurance Act. The branch monitors compliance through regular review processes. Operators of facilities are required to take the necessary steps to address concerns identified in the course of reviews within specified time lines and must provide status updates until concerns have been addressed.  Licences are reviewed and renewed annually and review findings are used to inform decision-making. The table includes the following fields (Alias (Name): Description) Regional Health Authority (Regional_Health_Authority): The name of the Regional Health Authority in which the facility is located. Community (Community): The name of the community in which the facility is located. Facility (Facility): The name of the licensed personal care home. This table forms part of the data for the Manitoba Personal Care Home Reporting app.

The Canada Nature Fund for Aquatic Species at Risk (CNFASAR) is a contribution program that focuses on providing funding for recovery and threat mitigation activities in nine priority places and to address two marine threats to aquatic species at risk. The Priority Places and Marine Threats layer supports CNFASAR by delineating the location of the places and threats.The Canada Nature Fund for Aquatic Species at Risk (CNFASAR) supports applicants in the design and delivery of stewardship projects. These projects support the recovery and protection of aquatic species at risk. DFO has identified 2 priority marine threats and 9 priority places as the focus for projects funded by CNFASAR, these areas are included in this dataset.
