The data in this information product illustrates the boundaries of Alberta's 11 Court of King's Bench Judicial Districts. The boundaries of the Judicial Districts are defined by the Judicial Districts Regulation, Alberta Regulation 117/2010. The Judicial Districts used in this information product were filed in July 14, 2010 and came into effect on November 1, 2010.

Current Land Act tenures and applications for such tenures: a subset of crown land dispositions that are issued for specific purposes and periods of time under an agreement between an individual or company and the provincial government for an interest in crown land. TA_CROWN_REV_SHARE_AGRMNTS_SVW contains the spatial representation (polygon) of active and applied for Crown Land Revenue Sharing Agreements. A Revenue Sharing Agreement is made between the crown and one or more parties to share revenue. The view was created to provide a simplified presentation of this single tenure type from the disposition information in the Tantalis operational system. The same content could be derived from the TA_CROWN_TENURES_SVW by filtering to this tenure type only. It’s possible that this dataset may contain few or no records, depending on the current number of active tenures or applications.

This tabular data contains environmental discharges (spills) in Saskatchewan with limited information outlining best known location, confirmed substance and quantity. This data is limited to events that occurred before January 1, 2015. Under The Environmental Management and Protection Act 2010 (EMPA, 2010), “discharge” means a discharge, drainage, deposit, release or emission into the environment. These records include locations and details of discharge incidents in the Province of Saskatchewan and are currently limited to incidents that were reported to the ministry prior to January 2015.  The Discharge Date is when the Ministry created the record. This is not necessarily the date of the discharge event. The Modern treaties (formerly known as the Post-1975 treaties) dataset contains geographic boundaries as well as basic attribute data representing signed agreements that were negotiated between Indigenous groups, the Government of Canada, and provincial and territorial governments after 1975. These boundaries represent the areas of Canada where Indigenous land rights and title have not been addressed by treaty or through other legal means. These boundaries represent the final result of a negotiated First Nation’s claimed area. These boundaries are usually not surveyed but help to delineate the geographic extent of the rights of Indigenous beneficiaries defined within the agreement. The Modern treaties dataset includes: 1) Overall Treaty Area (OTA) which is the broad area to which the agreement applies, often composed of the sum of the specific geographies defined within the treaty. 2) Treaty Settlement Lands that is wholly Indigenous-owned and forms part of the “land and cash” settlements that are integral to the treaty. The purpose of this layer is to provide search criteria for Manitoba legal descriptions.This feature layer is comprised of point locations that represent the centre of the bounds of the corresponding legal parcel. The types of legal descriptions include quarter sections (D.L.S.), river lots, parish lots, wood lots, outer two mile lots, and settlement lots. The point may not fall exactly on the centre of the legal parcel of land. This feature layer is meant as a search tool to locate the general location of the given legal description and it may not be exact. The points were initially derived from a variety of sources. Most of the points came from the Southern and Northern Grid of DLS section boundaries created by Sustainable Development. Fields included (Alias (Field Name): Field Description) OBJECTID (OBJECTID_1): Sequential unique whole numbers that area automatically generated Informal Legal Description (LEGAL_DESC): The informal legal description (No leading zeros on numbers). Formal Legal Description (LEGAL_DESC0): The formal legal description (Leading zeros on numbers). Type (TYPE): The type of legal division ('Quarter' = Quarter section, 'RL' = River lot, 'Lot' = Township lot, 'OT' = Outer two mile lot, 'PL' = Parish lot, 'SL' = Settlement lot, 'WL' = Wood lot). Quarter (QUARTER): Which DLS quarter section the point is referencing (NE, NW, SE or SW meaning respectfully North-east, North-west, South-east or South-west) Section (SECTION): The DLS section the point is referencing (1-36). Township (TOWNSHIP): The DLS township the point is referencing. Range (RANGE): The DLS range the point is referencing. Lot No. (LOT_NO): The lot number of the corresponding river, settlement, township, outer two mile or parish lot. Meridian (MERIDIAN): The meridian of the section (East 1, East 2 or West 1). Parish Name (PARISH_NAME): The name of the parish that the lot belongs to. Range Addition (RANGEADD): The added text for specific range values (if applicable).
