The Canada Flood Map inventory shows areas in Canada where a copy of a flood hazard map has been collected by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). The inventory does not display flood zones or extents, but provides information on how to access these flood hazard maps. Depending on the license and availability status to the public, there may be links for download, along with reference information to the original source and/or data owner. NRCan collaborates with provincial and territorial governments to gather flood hazard maps from provinces, territories, municipalities, and other agencies responsible for flood mapping. The inventory is regularly updated to improve its completeness and accuracy. Disclaimer: The Canada Flood Map (CFM) does not include every flood hazard map in Canada and may be incomplete or contain inaccuracies. It should not be relied upon as the official source of flood mapping information. Furthermore, if a map appears to be missing, this does not necessarily mean that the area has never been mapped. A regulated flood zone is an area of land likely to be flooded and delimited by mapping or, along the St. Lawrence River, by flood ratings. On the territory of Quebec City, the only regulated and mapped flood zones are appended to the revised Land Use and Development Plan (SAD). These areas, which are added to the river's flood zone delimited by flood ratings, are subject to the special standards of the transitional regime for the management of flood zones, banks and coastlines since 1 March 2022. ATTENTION: The route indicating the boundaries of flood zones is for illustrative purposes only. Legal delimitation work must be validated in the field by a land surveyor for each property concerned. This layer shows the delineation of the perimeter of the Special Intervention Zone (ZIS) ofdecree called “Declaration of a special intervention zone in order to promote bettermanagement of flood zones”. This area was created from a variety of sources ofdata showing the flooded areas of 2017 and 2019. Since the adoption of Decree 817-2019, this dataset is no longer in force. Table of animal samples requested for rabies testing in Manitoba since the province took over the rabies program on April 1, 2014.This table contains information on animal samples requested for rabies testing in Manitoba since the province took over the rabies program on April 1, 2014.  As of that date, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is no longer involved with managing rabies cases in Manitoba. The provincial Rabies Management Program is now coordinated by Manitoba Rabies Central, which is a collaborative effort involving the Manitoba departments of Health, and Environment, Climate and Parks. Samples for rabies testing are requested by Manitoba Health in cases of human exposure to a suspected rabid animal, and by Agriculture in the case of animal exposure to another suspect rabid animal. Collection of a sample from the suspect rabid animal is coordinated by Agriculture.  This information will be updated on a quarterly basis.
