Waste Management Site
This new data class brings over data from the Waste Management Information System (WMIS), which is a Microsoft Access based database used by the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) to track Waste Management Sites. This was married with the spatial data from Waste Disposal Sites where possible Different Waste Disposal Site types collected by the Ministry of Natural Resources include: * Compost Disposal * Hazardous Waste Disposal * Household Waste Disposal * Industrial Waste Disposal * Septic Drying Bed * Septic Field * Sewage Disposal * Tile Bed * Transfer Station This product requires the use of geographic information system (GIS) software.

First Nation Settlement Lands - Internal Parcels
Internal boundaries mark the limits of the parcels inside a jurisdictional area, for examples the internal boundaries of a First Nation Settlement Lands.Details on specific feature types and their associated attributes can be found in the Integrated Cadastral Management Feature Catalogue, which is under development. Active Disposal at Sea Sites
Canada has the longest coastline in the world, measuring 243,790 kilometers. Many of our waterways along the coastline have to be dredged regularly to keep shipping channels and harbours open and safe for navigation; and this material is sometimes best disposed of at sea. Schedule 5 of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA) defines an exclusive list of materials and substances suitable for disposal at sea in Canada, which is in accordance with the London Protocol (1996). They are: dredged material, fish waste resulting from industrial fish processing operations, ships or platforms, inert and inorganic geological matter, uncontaminated organic matter of natural origin, and bulky substances. The disposal of any substance into the sea, on the seabed, in the subsoil of the seabed, or onto ice, from a ship, an aircraft, a platform or other structure is not allowed unless a permit is issued by the Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) Disposal at Sea Program. Incineration at sea, as well as importing or exporting a substance for disposal at sea is also prohibited. More information on Disposal at Sea is available at: https://www.canada.ca/en/environment-climate-change/services/disposal-at-sea.html The Active Disposal at Sea Sites in Canadian Waters dataset provides spatial and related information of at-sea disposal sites approved for use in Canada in the last ten years. Any additional use of a disposal site must be conducted in accordance with the terms and conditions of a valid Disposal at Sea permit. The dataset may be of use in relation to Disposal at Sea permit applications. For some Disposal at Sea permit applications the data may be of use in assessing serious harm to fish under the Fisheries Act and assessing interference with navigation under the Navigation Protection Act.
Niagara Escarpment Plan land use designations
Depicts the internal boundaries of the Niagara Escarpment Plan area. The 7 land use designations are: * escarpment natural area * escarpment protection area * escarpment rural area * [minor urban centre](/dataset/minor-urban-centres-in-the-niagara-escarpment-plan) * urban area * escarpment recreation area * mineral resource extraction area The land use designations represent the internal boundaries between designations within the Niagara Escarpment Plan. These internal boundaries are not intended to be site-specific and should not be used for accurate measurements. The exact delineation of designation boundaries on specific sites will be done by the implementing body through the application of the designation criteria as outlined in Part 1 of the Niagara Escarpment Plan, utilizing the most detailed or up-to-date information available and site inspection. Waste Management Attenuation Zone
A "contaminant attenuation zone" is a three-dimensional zone that is, * located on land adjacent to a landfilling site, * in the subservice or extends into the subsurface, and * is used or is intended to be used for the attenuation of contaminants from the landfilling site to levels that will not have an unacceptable impact beyond the boundary of the zone. This product requires the use of geographic information system (GIS) software.
Crown Land Pricing Zones - Communication Sites
Rent calculation for the use of Crown land for communication sites purposes is based on zonal rates per site per user category. There are currently 3 zones covering the province. The dataset outlines the boundaries for these zones.

Community Watersheds - Current
Boundaries (polygons) of areas designated as community watershed by government - that are all or part of the drainage area that is upslope of the lowest point from which water is diverted for human consumption by a licensed waterworks, if satisfied that, to protect the water that is diverted for human consumption, the area requires special management that is not otherwise provided for under this regulation or other enactment: to conserve the quality, quantity and timing of water flow; or to prevent cumulative hydrological effects that would have a material adverse effect on the water . Supercedes the '(DEPRECATED) BC Community Watersheds' dataset BC_COMMUNITY_WATERSHEDS
