Local Area Plans
The boundaries are established from either Land Claims Final Agreement, Self Government Agreement, Memorandum of Understanding, Local Advisory Area, or from a signed document between Yukon Government and First Nation. An Order in Council is prepared and the new boundary comes into effect. Older LAP's and Community Plans were approved by YG Minister and Cabinet as a policy document. 2005 AAFC Land Use
The 2005 AAFC Land Use is a culmination and curated metaanalysis of several high-quality spatial datasets produced between 1990 and 2021 using a variety of methods by teams of researchers as techniques and capabilities have evolved. The information from the input datasets was consolidated and embedded within each 30m x 30m pixel to create consolidated pixel histories, resulting in thousands of unique combinations of evidence ready for careful consideration. Informed by many sources of high-quality evidence and visual observation of imagery in Google Earth, we apply an incremental strategy to develop a coherent best current understanding of what has happened in each pixel through the time series.

Groundwater Usage, Groundwater Geoscience Program
The amount of groundwater exploited is estimated in m³/year. Groundwater usages are classified in four categories: agricultural, industrial, domestic and energy. Typically, groundwater usage should be represented as a series of sub-polygons or points fitting inside the boundary of the hydrogeological unit. The scope and method used to estimate the amount of water are described in the metadata associated with the dataset. The dataset identifies the main usages for the hydrogeological unit. It features numbers and percentages describing groundwater usages for a predetermined scope. The groundwater usage is frequently compiled by municipalities or counties. It could then be possible to display the usage by superimposing a series of pie charts depicting the groundwater usages over multiples administrative areas.
Metadata of benthic imaging surveys in the Banc-des-Américains Marine Protected Area
This dataset was developed to document the procedures for acquiring underwater images in the Banc-des-Américains Marine Protected Area (MPA). Its primary objective is to provide a comprehensive inventory of metadata linked to imagery campaigns that allowed us to conduct a basic characterization of the area, and now that are used for ecological monitoring of the benthic habitats within the MPA.Metadata were collected during imagery surveys conducted since 2012, using three main methods: drop cameras on the crest, baited drop stereoscopic cameras on both the crest and plains, and towed cameras on the plains. For each operation are shared the type of gear used, sampling method, date, geographic coordinates, and acquisition depth.The released dataset contains only descriptive information related to the acquisition of images : file identifier, location, sampling methodology, depth, and technical imaging parameters. It does not include image files themselves, visual content, or the results of image analyses.A systematic quality control is applied to ensure completeness and consistency of the metadata: field format standardization, validation of GPS coordinates, verification of dates and recorded depths. Clear instructions guide the recording of metadata to guarantee their reliability for management and scientific monitoring purposes.
Land Use Atlas for Coastal Watersheds in the Maritimes Region
Human activities occurring on land can impact marine coastal ecosystems. Baseline information on the locations and intensity of these activities are critical components of any impact assessment or spatial planning approach seeking to mitigate stress and protect or restore coastal ecosystems. As part of a wider project, land use maps were created for 109 coastal watersheds draining into the Scotian Shelf Bioregion – a biophysical subdivision of Canada’s marine waters in the Maritimes Region of Fisheries and Oceans Canada. Information was compiled from various national and provincial publicly available spatial data sources. Each map provides basic statistics on areal values of different land cover types (such as forested areas, pervious or impervious surfaces, agricultural areas, peatlands, parks and protected areas, wetlands and freshwater bodies), human population density, building locations, and locations of major riverine pour points. Productive Forest Landbase for the Cariboo Region
Productive forest land base is defined as the total Crown forest area, determined by subtracting the following from the total area of the Cariboo Natural Resource Region: * All non-Crown land * All Crown land committed to non-timber use through a Land Act designation * All non-forest Crown Land, and * All forest area classified as brush or non-commercial cover in the Forest Inventory.
