This is a dynamic dataset - data can change daily.Other Land includes land that has been purchased by the First Nations from private landowners or Surplus Provincial or Surplus Federal land that has been purchased from the Manitoba or Canada governments. The title to the land is privately held by a First Nation corporation until it gets transferred to the Government of Canada, however the mines and minerals and other residual interests may be owned by the Crown (Government of Manitoba) and they are required to be transferred to the Government of Canada (subject to third party interest resolution, if applicable).The sites are generally identified by title with reference to a plan of survey, metes and bounds description. Locations are mapped using existing cadastral or parcel mapping data, or reasonably illustrate the site within the dataset. This polygon dataset represents Community Interest Zones (CIZ) reserved on behalf of 21 Entitlement First Nations as per the Treaty Land Entitlement Framework Agreement and the Notice Area for the Peguis Treaty Entitlement Agreement.The Community Interest Zone (CIZ) dataset illustrates consultation areas reserved on behalf of 21 Entitlement First Nations represented by the Treaty Land Entitlement Committee as contained within the Treaty Land Entitlement Framework Agreement signed May 29th 1997, and the Peguis Treaty Entitlement Agreement signed April 29, 2008. The CIZ boundary is based on the 1:500,000 Province of Manitoba base map and a 30-km radius drawn from a specific existing reserve boundary. The boundary of the Peguis Notice Area was included in the Peguis Treaty Entitlement Agreement and has been digitized using a heads-up digitizing method. The areas have been squared off to include the whole section where only part of a section is intersected by the 30-km radius. This polygon dataset shows Crown land parcels covered by formal flood compensation and other settlement agreements with specified First Nations. It does not include Treaty Land Entitlement (TLE) sites.The purpose of this dataset is to show Crown land parcels contained within formal flood compensation and other settlement agreements with specified First Nations (does not include Treaty Land Entitlement sites). The Crown lands are intended for transfer to the Government of Canada to be set apart as Reserve land. There are different categories/types of compensation lands noted in the various settlement agreements and every agreement has different provisions. Best efforts have been taken to reasonably illustrate the parcels within the dataset as set out in the respective agreements. The Social Vulnerability component of the National Human Settlement Layer (NHSL) includes information about broad spatial patterns of social vulnerability at the neighbourhood scale, and indicators about the capacities for a community to withstand and recover from disaster events based on intrinsic characteristics of housing, family structure, individual autonomy and financial agency.Information in the model provides a means of comparing relative levels of social vulnerability from one region to another across Canada and helps to identify specific dimensions within a community that contributes to their relative levels of social vulnerability. This information is not intended for site-specific study, but instead to understand broad patterns of social characteristics and vulnerability across multiple census dissemination areas.

The purpose of this feature class is to identify the individual annual allowable cut and annual limit areas as referred to in the Forest Resources Act subsection 20(2) and 31(10 of the Forest Resources Regulation). Where there is no approved Forest Resources Management Plan (FRMP) for an area, forest resources harvesting can only be authorized in an amount less than that prescribed by regulation for that area. The Forest Resources Regulation subsection 31(1) establishes the annual limits for harvesting timber resources for areas without an FRMP. These areas are referred to as the Annual Limit Regions in Schedule 1 of the Regulation titled Timber Harvesting Areas. This particular dataset is a subset of the complete ParcelMap BC data and is comprised of the parcel fabric and attributes for over two million parcels published under the Open Government Licence - British Columbia. The purpose of this layer is to provide end users with a spatial representation of the Designated Areas in adopted Development Plans and their consolidated amendments in Manitoba. It also allows users of the data to undertake a variety of land use planning analyses based on Development Plan Designations. This layer is intended to be a source of data delivery as well as usage in situ.This dataset is comprised of boundary geometry representing the Development Plan Designations for all of the Development Plan bylaws (as defined in The Planning Act) in force and effect within the Province of Manitoba. Spatial referencing of the designations is based on the best available land parcel data for each municipality. Where available, land parcel data based on registered survey plans and ground control coordinates was used. Otherwise, the reference grid maintained by Manitoba Sustainable Development was used. The delineation of the boundaries is set by the bylaw establishing or amending the boundary of each designation. Dataset content is subject to: Ongoing changes in designated areas which are determined by amendments to adopted Development Plans or the adoption of new Development Plans. Ongoing development and maintenance of the land parcel datasets. Improvements to the land parcel data are used to improve the positional accuracy of the Development Plan designation polygons. As of the publication date of this dataset, the following known issues remain: For designation boundaries that include water boundaries, the water boundary that best reflects the intended designation boundary was used. In some instances, road allowances on a municipal boundary are included in both of the adjoining municipalities. The Labour Force Distribution (LFD) maps are derived from the CanEcumene 2.0 Geodatabase using custom tabulations of census-based labour force data. These LFD maps were calculated for each of the five major natural resource sectors in Canada: Forestry, Fisheries, Agriculture, Minerals, and Petroleum and Coal. The measure used is the labour force of each sector as a proportion of the goods-producing sectors in the economy. Labour force proportions were first calculated at the individual community level, and then interpolated on a regional level using GIS (see Eddy et. al. 2020 for more detail). In effect, these maps show the strong importance of Canada’s natural resource sectors in various regions of the country. The darker the tone in each map indicates a region’s higher degree of dependency on a given sector for their economic livelihood.
