Area Based Management Plans (ABMP) are designated areas for the purposes of environmental protection. It must consider the impact of point and non-point source of waste, cumulative impact of the wastes, environmental management objectives and outcomes for the designated area, and ongoing monitoring and reporting.

This dataset contains district boundaries representing geographic areas of operational responsibility within Parks Operations Division, Alberta Environment and Protected Areas. Parks Operations Division Districts nest within Parks Operations Division Management Areas, which are areas of managerial responsibility within Parks Operations Division. Management Areas in turn nest within Parks Operations Division Regions. These boundaries are administrative/operational in nature, and are subject to change.

The Forest Protection Area dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent the administrative areas established by Forest Protection, Forestry Division of Alberta Agriculture and Forestry concerned with the prevention and control of damage to forests from fire, insects, disease and other harmful agents.

This table identifies Yukon lands withdrawn from disposal, usually by Territorial Order in Council. Temporary Protection Orders (TPOs) are ministerial orders that can be implemented to curtail water users during times of water scarcity to protect streamflow availability fish populations and the aquatic ecosystem. TPOs were implemented under Section 9 of the Fish Protection Act prior to 2016, but are now implemented under Section 86, 87 and 88 of the Water Sustainability Act. This dataset is a compilation of data hosted on TPOs to date across British Columbia and is maintained by the Watershed Stewardship and Security Branch within the Ministry of Water, Lands and Resource Stewardship. The purpose of the dataset is to communicate to water users when and where TPOs are/were in effect at the watershed scale. For specific details on which water users are affected by a TPO, please refer to the official Ministerial Order document referenced in the dataset.
