Future - Flood Susceptibility Mapping
This series of projected future flood susceptibility maps were generated using an XGBoost machine learning model trained on major floods from 2005 to 2023. The trained model was applied to future climate scenarios for 2050, 2070, and 2100, under two SSP scenarios: 245 and 585. The model uses temperature and precipitation time series to estimate potential future flood susceptibility. These maps represent model projections and should be interpreted as indicators of potential flood susceptibility, not precise forecasts.This dataset forms part of a broader collection of flood susceptibility datasets, offering related information and analyses. Database of areas at risk of flooding (BDZI)
Data on flood zones include mapping carried out as part of the mapping program of the Canada-Quebec Convention from 1976 to 2001, the Program for the determination of flood ratings from 2001 to 2004 (PDCC), as well as the mapping carried out after that date by the Centre d'expertise du Québec (CEH) and its various partners.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Historical Flood Events (HFE)
Representation of the causes of flooding events in the form of multiple points. The point groupings correspond to the set of locations that were affected by the same event. The inventory of past flooding events was compiled from various public sources and standardized into a common data model. Sources used are included in the data. Event locations have been extensively revised to have one location per location reported as affected by the flood. Flood events for which no location was included in the sources used are positioned on the place name of the location affected by the flood. The event positions do not indicate where the flooding occurred. Flood events that affected more than one locality are represented by a multipoint.For each event after January 1, 1980 caused by a heavy rainfall or a coastal storm , a precipitation analysis document, a precipitation animation and the precipitation data are available. These documents are the result of a collaboration with Environment and Climate Change Canada.Disclaimer:It should be noted that no consultation was conducted with the various providers and stakeholders of the historic flood data. Disparities in content among the various sources result in an incomlete product. No warranty is given as to the accuracy or completeness of the information provided. The absence of information does not mean that no flooding has occurred.

Existing flood protection works appurtenances on or near dikes, for example, pump house, floodbox, culvert, gate, gauge, weir, etc. Updated from available Provincial dike survey project data from 2019/2020. If 2019/2020 dike survey project data is unavailable, appurtenance data based on previous data from 2004 and prior. 2024 Annual Compensation Disclosure as per The Public Sector Compensation Disclosure ActThe Public Sector Compensation Disclosure Act requires: Annual Compensation Disclosure The Public Sector Compensation Disclosure Act requires information about wages above a legislated compensation threshold to be publicly disclosed for public sector employees. It is published annually and has been published on the government's proactive disclosure website since 2020. The Act includes a requirement for the reporting threshold amount be reviewed every five years. Effective January 1, 2023, the new threshold for salary disclosures has increased from $75,000 to $85,000. This table lists those individuals defined above, along with related information described in the ‘fields’ below. This table is presented in the Manitoba Public Sector Compensation Disclosure application, which is a user-friendly interactive tool that adds functionality such as filtering, search, and data export. Fields included (Alias (Field name): Field description.) Sector (Sector): A standard set of sectors that will allow for searching and categorizing similar organizations. First Name (First_Name): First name or first initial based on the past practice of the organization Last Name (Last_Name): Last name or badge number based on the past practice of your organization Total Compensation (Total_Compensation): Total compensation that includes employment contract, total value of all cash and non-cash salary or payments, allowances, bonuses, commissions and perquisites. Job Title (Job_Title): Job title, position name or position category, based on the past practice of the organization. Employer (Employer): This field will contain the name of the employer. Department/Region (Department_Region): This is an optional field for organizations that currently report department Reporting Year (Reporting_Year): The fiscal year or calendar year in which the reporting period ended. This polygon dataset shows Crown land parcels covered by formal flood compensation and other settlement agreements with specified First Nations. It does not include Treaty Land Entitlement (TLE) sites.The purpose of this dataset is to show Crown land parcels contained within formal flood compensation and other settlement agreements with specified First Nations (does not include Treaty Land Entitlement sites). The Crown lands are intended for transfer to the Government of Canada to be set apart as Reserve land. There are different categories/types of compensation lands noted in the various settlement agreements and every agreement has different provisions. Best efforts have been taken to reasonably illustrate the parcels within the dataset as set out in the respective agreements. All boundaries are to be considered approximate and for illustrative purposes only. Canada Flood Map Inventory (CFM)
The Canada Flood Map inventory shows areas in Canada where a copy of a flood hazard map has been collected by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). The inventory does not display flood zones or extents, but provides information on how to access these flood hazard maps. Depending on the license and availability status to the public, there may be links for download, along with reference information to the original source and/or data owner. NRCan collaborates with provincial and territorial governments to gather flood hazard maps from provinces, territories, municipalities, and other agencies responsible for flood mapping. The inventory is regularly updated to improve its completeness and accuracy. Disclaimer: The Canada Flood Map (CFM) does not include every flood hazard map in Canada and may be incomplete or contain inaccuracies. It should not be relied upon as the official source of flood mapping information. Furthermore, if a map appears to be missing, this does not necessarily mean that the area has never been mapped. For the official version of a map, updated information, or confirmation of applicable regulations, please contact the local authority responsible for flood mapping.Note: Data and maps in the Inventory can be made available upon request to federal and contributing partners.

This polygon dataset shows Crown land parcels covered by formal flood compensation and other settlement agreements with specified First Nations.The purpose of this dataset is to show Crown land parcels contained within formal flood compensation and other settlement agreements with specified First Nations (does not include Treaty Land Entitlement sites). The Crown lands are not intended for transfer to Government of Canada to be set apart as Reserve land. It is intended that the parcels will be held in fee simple, meaning a certificate of title to the land will be issued to a First Nation corporation.Best efforts have been taken to reasonably illustrate the parcels within the dataset as set out in the respective agreements. All boundaries are to be considered approximate and for illustrative purposes only.
