Geography - Districts
A geographic boundary of Public Work's districts, which are used in allocating operational resources. Each district is managed by a District Director. Each district is divided into 3-4 management areas, and each management area is divided into 2-7 operational zones.
Health Service Delivery Area Boundaries
Health Service Delivery Area (HSDA) boundaries; 2022 boundary configuration. The HSDAs are a mutually exclusive and exhaustive classification of the land area in BC. HSDAs are contiguous (land area is geographically adjacent) and fit within a geographical hierarchy structure, e.g., cannot violate higher-level geography boundaries Health Authorities (HA).
Health Authority Boundaries
Health Authority (HA) boundaries; 2022 boundary configuration. The HAs are a mutually exclusive and exhaustive classification of the land area in BC. HAs are contiguous (land area is geographically adjacent) and fit within an existing geographical hierarchy, e.g., cannot violate lower-level geography boundaries such as the Health Service Delivery Areas (HSDA) and Local Health Area (LHA).
Community Health Service Areas Boundaries
Community Health Service Area (CHSA) boundaries; 2022 boundary configuration. The CHSAs are a mutually exclusive and exhaustive classification of the land area in BC. CHSAs are contiguous (land area is geographically adjacent) and fit within the existing geographical hierarchy (cannot violate higher-level geography boundaries such as the Local Health Area).
Geography - Operational Zones
A geographic representation of Public Work’s Operational Zones. Operational Zones are a subdivision of Management Area geography (which are a subdivision of District geography). Zones are designed such that each road is assigned to a nearby facility ('base') for service. Facilities usually central within their zone to maximize efficiency.
Local Health Area Boundaries
Local Health Area (LHA) boundaries; 2022 boundary configuration. The LHAs are a mutually exclusive and exhaustive classification of the land area in BC. LHAs are contiguous (land area is geographically adjacent) and fit within an existing geographical hierarchy structure, e.g., cannot violate higher-level geography boundaries such as the Health Service Delivery Areas (HSDA) and Health Authorities (HA).
Community Areas
Community Areas are a standard analytical and service delivery geography for the city of Winnipeg and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.Community Areas are a standard analytical and service delivery geography for the city of Winnipeg and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. The Community Areas geographic areas were developed by the Community Data Network (now more commonly referred to as the Winnipeg Community Data Consortium), with input from the WRHA, Manitoba Health, the City of Winnipeg, and other stakeholders. Community areas can be defined to either include or exclude the municipalities of East and West St. Paul. Because the Winnipeg RHA is defined to include East and West St. Paul, use of the geographies in a health services or health status context includes East and West St. Paul. Conversely, because the City of Winnipeg excludes East and West St. Paul, use of the geographies in a municipal administrative context excludes East and West St. Paul. This shapefile reflects the use of Community Areas in a health services or health status context, and includes East and West St. Paul.
Physiographic Regions of Canada
Canada’s landmass is very diversified and comprises 7 distinctive areas called physiographic regions, each of which has its own unique topography and geology. Physiographic regions are large areas that share similar relief and landforms shaped by common geomorphic processes and geological history. Physiographic regions are often used to describe Canada’s geography to show regional differences in climate, vegetation, population and the economy. This dataset collection contains three interrelated datasets mapping the location of Canada’s 7 different physiographic regions, their 21 subregions and many divisions (landforms).
Timing Windows for Work in and About Waterbodies in the Cariboo Natural Resource Region
Timing windows are the period(s) during the year when work may be carried out in and about water bodies with the lowest risk to fish and wildlife species and habitat. Timing windows and terms and conditions vary based on regional differences in fish and wildlife species and habitat, and geography. The timing window of least risk to fish and fish habitat must be applied to all activities in water bodies, as well as tributaries that have a risk of depositing sediment into water bodies. Windows of least risk are designed to protect all fish species known to occur in a water body.
Consolidated Local Health Areas Boundaries
Consolidated Local Health Areas (CLHAs) Boundaries. B.C. Consolidated Local Health Areas (CLHAs) are a health geography standard that partitions the province into distinct areas that support coordination of specialized care between Health Authorities and Primary Care. The province is divided into five Health Authorities, which are subdivided into 41 Consolidated Local Health Areas (CLHAs), which are subdivided into 231 Community Health Service Areas (CHSAs). CLHAs encompass all of B.C., so the classification is exhaustive of all the land area in the province.
