Local Government Offices is a point dataset identifying local government offices in British Columbia.

This dataset is a subset of the Sites Registry dataset. The Sites Registry is a collection of locations that are important to government carrying out its business, including sharing information with citizens. Most locations have civic addresses and are government offices or facilities, e.g. hospitals, schools, post-secondary institutions, court houses, tourism centres. It is comprised of all sites licensed under the Open Government Licence – British Columbia. The Government of Canada continues to strive to be ever more open and transparent. This means a government that is open by default providing better digital capacity and services for Canadians.Under a modernized Fisheries Act, Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) has made available an online Fisheries Act (FA) Registry that facilitates access to data and information, including geospatial data, about projects as well as regulatory process information. The new online version of the FA Registry is now available to Canadians. The FA Registry is currently accessible through the Common Project Search Portal, a one-stop online location for Canadians to search and browse through DFO authorizations as well as projects and assessments submitted to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada and Transport Canada.DFO will be undertaking continuous development of the Fisheries Act Registry. This release is the second step towards implementing the full FA Registry that will provide additional content as well as new features to the FA Registry, increasing transparency and proactive disclosure as well as improving digital capacity and service for Canadians.

The Federal Electoral Districts (FED) dataset is a digital representation of the 343 electoral districts proclaimed by the 2023 Representation Orders.Canada is divided into 343 federal electoral districts. A representative or member of Parliament is elected for each electoral district. Following the release of population counts from each decennial census, the Chief Electoral Officer determines the number of seats in the House of Commons and publishes the information in the Canada Gazette. Electoral boundaries commissions then determine the adjustments to the constituency boundaries. The federal electoral boundaries commissions are independent bodies that make all decisions regarding the proposed and final federal electoral boundaries. Elections Canada provides support services to the boundaries commission in each province. Based on reports from these commissions, the Chief Electoral Officer prepares a representation order that describes the boundaries and specifies the name and the population of each FED. The 2023 Representation Order (proclaimed on September 22, 2023) was based on 2021 Census population counts, and increased the number of FEDs to 343, up from 338 from the previous 2013 Representation Order. Alberta received three additional seats while Ontario and British Columbia each gained one seat. The representation order is in force on the first dissolution of Parliament that occurs at least seven months after its proclamation (on or after April 23, 2024). The names of FEDs may change at any time through an Act of Parliament.

HIGHWAY_OFFICIAL provides the LRS based geospatial information of Provincial and National Highways System in Saskatchewan. It is one of the base layer used to create "Roadseg" layer for Saskatchewan Upgraded Road Network (SURN) and National Road Network (NRN). This data layer has been created for mainly MHI data users, that require relatively up-to-date and accurate description of all Highways in the Province of Saskatchewan.HIGHWAY_OFFICIAL consists of provincial and national highways system in Saskatchewan maintained by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure (MHI). This data layer is based on the Linear Reference System (LRS) concepts. KM_FROM and KM_TO fields store the start point and the end point at Kilometer information of the line segment. Unique Identifiers (RoadName & NID) are associated with each line segment. The "RoadName" field carry the unique highway name for each line segment in a control section. "NID" National Identifier is used to manage the updates between data producer and data users. HIGHWAY_OFFICIAL data layer serves as a foundation for SURN, NRN, SASK911, CAR, SGI-iHaul and other applications.
