Fisheries Information Summary System (FISS) layer of Historic (pre 2001) Fish Distribution Points of BC Streams. Points represent site locations where a fish species is rearing, spawning or observed or where a point is located at the mouth of a stream it indicates the presence of a fish species somewhere in the stream as a whole. Georeferenced to the stream centreline network layer of the 1:50,000 scale BC Watershed Atlas.

To support a wide range of efforts to understand the geographic context and historical conditions of the Indian residential schools sites for a wide range of stakeholders, Indigenous Services Canada has created a Web service to access and visualize historical aerial photography for those sites. The Historical aerial photography of Indian residential schools dataset contains digital scans of aerial photographs that were acquired from 1924 to 1998 over Indian Residential school sites and surrounding areas across Canada, as well as basic information about each photography and depicted site. The digital images were georeferenced, to match ground coordinates, saved in a resampled uncompressed raster format and compiled in a single mosaic layer. The dataset does not include the complete range of aerial photographs of each site. Instead, an attempt has been made to select a single optimal photograph for each site based on good photographic quality and the site's years of operation. In some cases no photograph is available, and in others a photograph was only available after the years of operation. The source scanned prints was obtained from the archives of the National Air Photo Library (NAPL) of Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN). This dataset should be considered evergreen as new information and photography sources are identified.It should be noted that this dataset can only be downloaded using ArcGIS and ArcPro software as well as other GIS software.

This dataset contains spatial and attribute data for local government Heritage Conservation Areas (HCAs) established for heritage conservation purposes in British Columbia, as tracked by BC Heritage Branch. Under the Local Government Act, a local government may designate a HCA within its Official Community Plan (OCP). An OCP may include a schedule of properties located within a Heritage Conservation Area that are considered to be protected heritage property. This is a multi-part polygon layer.

The Saskatchewan Parks Boundaries dataset includes Provincial Parks (PP), Recreation Sites (RS), and Historic Sites (HS) as described in the The Parks Act, The Recreation Sites Regulations, 1991, and The Historic Sites Regulations, respectively.The Saskatchewan Parks Boundaries dataset is a version managed by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport that more closely matches the intent of the descriptions in The Parks Act, The Recreation Sites Regulations, 1991, and The Historic Sites Regulations than the dataset provided by Information Services Corporation (ISC). The last update was completed on Sept 22, 2021, to reflect changes as per the latest Recreation Sites Regulations amendment. The Rideau Canal Skateway winds its way through the heart of the National Capital over a total length of 7.8 km. Assessment: The site is currently undergoing, or has recently completed, analysis to determine the cause, nature or extent of potential or existing adverse effect (e.g. a Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessment). Corrective Action Plan: The site is currently undergoing, or has recently completed, activity that aims to prevent, minimize, mitigate, remedy or reclaim adverse effects (e.g. removal of impacts by excavation). Closure: This is a historical status term for environmentally impacted sites that is no longer used. The Notice of Site Condition status replaces the former status of Closure. It indicates that corrective actions have been completed at the site, endpoints have been achieved and an updated environmental status of the site has been provided to the ministry. However, no application has been made for a Notice of Site Condition certificate.  Notice of Site Condition: The ministry is satisfied that an acceptable risk level exists for the area of the site addressed in the corrective action plan. Confirmed substance: The substances of concern at the site. Examples that may cause an adverse effect are petroleum hydrocarbons, toxic metals, air pollutants, acids and solvents.
