Vegetation Inventory - 40k
This feature delineates forest and vegetation stands in the Yukon at a scale of 1: 40 ,000. It is a management level forest inventory (as opposed to a n operational level) - meaning that analysis and mapping are most effective close to the 1:40,000 scale and not larger . Historic silviculture inventory - 50k
These are the boundaries of disturbance area that underwent forest management activities and are monitored to determine if reforestation obligations were achieved. Openings were derived from forest cover surveys, GPS field data collections, and satellite imagery. Major Projects Inventory
Natural Resources Canada’s Major Projects Inventory published annually, provides a snapshot of major natural resource projects in Canada that are either currently under construction or are planned within the next 10 years.The inventory includes major projects that increase, extend or improve natural resource production in Canada, including new extraction projects, infrastructure projects, major processing facilities and large expansion projects. In addition, the inventory includes information on the value, timing and geographic location of projects.To be included in the inventory, projects in the energy and mining sectors must meet a minimum capital worth threshold of $50 million and electricity and forest sector projects must meet a threshold of $20 million. Also included in the inventory are clean energy and clean technology projects, which must meet a minimum capital worth threshold of $10 million.DISCLAIMER: Data is sourced from federal, provincial, and territorial databases, publicly accessible websites, and other sources, including CANOILS. Data and maps are for illustrative purposes only. Users understand that, although all efforts have been made to accurately and exhaustively compile, locate and classify projects, the authors do not guarantee the accuracy and/or the comprehensiveness of the data and assume no responsibility for errors or omissions. The routes of the proposed transmission lines and pipelines are approximations, often using only start and end points. Annual Crop Inventory 2022
In 2022, the Earth Observation Team of the Science and Technology Branch (STB) at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) repeated the process of generating annual crop inventory digital maps using satellite imagery for all Canadian provinces, in support of a national crop inventory. New this year, a map of the agricultural regions in the Yukon Territory was also produced. A Decision Tree (DT) based methodology was applied using optical (Landsat-8, Landsat-9,Sentinel-2), and radar (RCM) based satellite images, and having a final spatial resolution of 30m. In conjunction with satellite acquisitions, ground-truth information was provided by: provincialcrop insurance companies in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, & Quebec; point observations from the PEI Department of Environment, Water and Climate Change; Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs; University of Guelph - Ridgetown campus; British Columbia Ministry of Agriculture; and data collection supported by our regional AAFC Research and Development Centres in St. John's, Kentville, Fredericton, Guelph, Summerland and Whitehorse.
Historical trace metals concentrations from sediment samples and suspended particulate matter (SPM) samples, 1976 - 1987
This dataset is a compilation of numerous data files recovered as part of a data request in 2024 from a historical archive of DFO research data. Sediment and Suspended Particulate Matter (SPM) samples were collected over more than a decade as part of Dr. Douglas Loring’s research program while working at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography (BIO). Samples were collected as part of individual and collaborative research projects, and links to the relevant primary science publications and reports are included in the data in an effort to provide context to the data, as well as describe the field and laboratory techniques used to generate the attached data.

__The link: *Access the data directory* is available in the section*Dataset Description Sheets; Additional Information*__.The original ecoforest map and the results of the 4th ecoforest inventory of southern Quebec constitute a grouping of ecoforest data including the original ecoforest map of the 4th inventory and numerous other tables providing information directly related to ecoforest populations. The information in this dataset corresponds to the forest profile up to the year of aerial photography. Among the numerous tables and entity classes that the product brings together, the following groups can be distinguished: * The original ecoforest map of the 4th inventory made up of ecoforest polygons. This is the geographic base to which all other data is attached; * The forest compilations of the 4th inventory, which contain, among other things, the gross commercial volumes evaluated by essence; * The ecological classification of Quebec territory; * Data for the characterization of forest stations. __Note that__ the original ecoforest map of the 4th inventory has been complete since 2018 and that no new mapping has been added. This differs from the current original ecoforest map where, each year, a portion of Quebec's territory is photo-interpreted and integrated into the provincial product by replacing the cartographic information from the previous inventory. Inventory of architectural heritage (January 2018)
Inventory carried out in order to increase knowledge about built heritage. Starting with the 2015 pre-inventory, 608 heritage properties were selected. The selection of these properties was carried out in order to target properties with exceptional (7), superior (183) and good (418) heritage values. To these were added some of the properties that were already protected by a PIIA regulation and the properties built before 1900, as well as all the wayside crosses and calvaries, representing 181 additional properties, for a total of 789 heritage assets that are the subject of the inventory.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
