Benthos monitoring
The objective of benthos monitoring is to know the state of benthic macroinvertebrate communities in rivers according, in particular, to the composition of the substrate and the type of flow. Information on benthic macroinvertebrate samples collected at benthos monitoring stations is classified according to the benthos health index: iSBG for coarse-substrate streams and iSBM for soft-substrate streams. The Benthos Health Index (ISB) is a multimetric index based on benthic macroinvertebrates that assesses the biotic integrity of shallow streams. The benthos monitoring dataset includes a layer of sampling stations sampled between 2003 and 2023 and a layer of drainage areas for each of the types of substrate, either coarse or loose. The drainage area attribute table also provides a compilation of land use by category for the last year available at the time of data production, i.e. the year 2020.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Atlas of Canada - Wireless Data Network
The Atlas of Canada’s Wireless Data Network map illustrates the availability of LTE and 5G wireless data service across Canada in 2024. It features an inset map and a bar graph that provide additional insights. The inset map shows the percentage of population in each province with access to 5G service. The bar graph shows the percent of population without access 5G service by year, dating back to 2020.The Atlas of Canada Wireless Data Network map is shown at a scale of 1:6 000 000. It is part of the new Atlas of Canada series, which features a shared look and feel across all map products to ensure consistency in design and layout. This map supports the Communication and Transportation theme, one of five core themes featured in the renewed Atlas of Canada web presence at atlas.gc.ca. The common design helps make Atlas of Canada products easier to read, compare, and use together across the Atlas collection.Use the Atlas of Canada site to find places, digital maps, facts, geographical information and learning resources about Canada.Source: Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), 2024.Current trends - Mobile wireless. https://crtc.gc.ca/eng/publications/reports/PolicyMonitoring/mob.htmIf you have questions about CRTC data, e-mail info@crtc.gc.ca.Produced by the Canada Centre for Mapping and Earth Observation, the Geoscience and Earth Monitoring Sector, Natural Resources Canada. 2025.
FADM - Timber Supply Areas (TSA) - View
The spatial representation for current Timber Supply Areas (TSA). A Timber Supply Area is a designated area established by the Ministry in order to practice sound, integrated, resource management principles to improve the allowable annual cuts. TSAs were originally defined by an established pattern of wood flow from management units to the primary timber-using industries. They are the primary unit for allowable annual cut (AAC) determination.
FADM - BC Timber Sales Area
FADM BCTS AREA SP is a BC Timbers Sales Business Area - an administrative area established by the Ministry (The Forest Act), and establishes the BC Timber Sales Program management Unit
ParcelMap BC Parcel Fabric
ParcelMap BC is the current, complete and trusted mapped representation of titled and Crown land parcels across British Columbia, considered to be the point of truth for the graphical representation of property boundaries. It is not the authoritative source for the legal property boundary or related records attributes; this will always be the plan of survey or the related registry information. This particular dataset is a subset of the complete ParcelMap BC data and is comprised of the parcel fabric and attributes for over two million parcels published under the Open Government Licence - British Columbia. Notes: 1. Parcel title information is sourced from the BC Land Title Register. Title questions should be directed to a local [Land Title Office](https://ltsa.ca/land-title-office-locations). 2. This dataset replaces the [Integrated Cadastral Fabric](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/7eb82072-8c74-4fce-9934-349b545fdc21).
MTA - Coal Grid, Group
Determines the location of Coal Titles within the Province of British Columbia. It is established under the authority of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Grid Regulation. It is defined by a set of UTM coordinates which approximate NAD 27 latitude and longitude positions. Groups are the second coarsest level of the Coal Grid and approximate 1:50,000 NTS map sheets. JUNCTION OFFICIAL
JUNCTION_OFFICIAL is one of the important layers for Saskatchewan Upgraded Road Network (SURN) and National Road Network (NRN). The JUNCTION_OFFICIAL provides the information of road intersections to clients that require accurate, relatively up-to-date and detailed description of Saskatchewan Road Network.JUNCTION_OFFICIAL, A point has been generated at the intersection of three or more road segments, Ferry connection, National/Provincial/Territory boundary and at the dead end of the road. JUNCTION_OFFICIAL contains all the road intersection points in the Saskatchewan. JUNCTION_OFFICIAL is an important part of the Saskatchewan road network dataset. Each point geometry "JUNCTION" has unique Identifiers (NID). "NID" National Identifier is used to manage the updates between data producer and data users.
MTA - Coal Grid, Mapsheet
Determines the location of Coal Titles within the Province of British Columbia. It is established under the authority of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Grid Regulation. It is defined by a set of UTM coordinates which approximate NAD 27 latitude and longitude positions. Mapsheets are the coarsest component of the grid and approximate 1:250,000 NTS map sheets. Canada Basemap – Elevation (CBME)
Canada Base Map Elevation (CBME) consists of a simple light hillshade for use as a background for mapping application. The Canada Atlas Lambert (EPSG:3978) is used and only covers the extents of Canada.
