Jack Fish Lake, Alberta - Boundary (GIS data, polygon features)
All available bathymetry and related information for Jack Fish Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.
Jack Fish Lake, Alberta - Bathymetry (GIS data, line features)

The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.

Lake sturgeon - Important sites - Presence, breeding, feeding, concentration - FHAMIS
Lake sturgeon's presence zones, breeding, feeding and concentration areas according to a literature review of documents produced between 1976 and 2002.Data extracted from the Fish Habitat Management Information System (FHAMIS).
Kokanee Shore Spawner Data - Okanagan Region
The Okanagan Lake kokanee shore spawner data set is comprised of multiple combined data sets. The historical data sets for the years 1974, 77, 78, 79 and 80 and more recent data sets collected from 2001 to 2016, and 2018. The historical data was derived from information collected in the field and hand drawn onto air photographs. Ministry staff circled Okanagan Lake in a boat one time each year and recorded fish numbers and spawner locations onto air photographs that were digitized in 2006 to make up the historical data set. This data set may not capture the peak reach count for these years. The data collected from 2001 to 2018 was derived from boat counts undertaken along the shoreline of Okanagan, Wood and Kalamalka Lakes. A GPS was used to record shore spawner locations and numbers. Multiple counts were undertaken over the entire spawning cycle and covered the peak spawning period for each year of data provided. The data collected for Christina Lake began in 2003 and ended in 2006. Christina Lake kokanee spawn at night in late December and early January. Kokanee spawning redd locations are available for the 2003/2004 count. Kokanee enumerations were undertaken at night for the 2004/2005 and 2005/2006 seasons and spawning redds were counted at the end of spawning cycle. For these two years there is both spawning and redd count data available.
Bay Scale Assessment of Nearshore Habitat Bras d'Or Lake - Whycocomagh 2007
Bay Scale Assessment of Nearshore Habitat Bras d'Or Lake - Whycocomagh 2007 data is part of the publication Bay Scale Assessment of Nearshore Habitat Bras d'Or Lakes. A history of nearshore benthic surveys of Bras d’Or Lake from 2005 – 2011 is presented. Early work utilized drop camera and fixed mount sidescan. The next phase was one of towfish development, where camera and sidescan were placed on one platform with transponder-based positioning. From 2009 to 2011 the new towfish was used to ground truth an echosounder. The surveys were performed primarily in the northern half of the lake; from 10 m depth right into the shallows at less than 1 m. Different shorelines could be distinguished from others based upon the relative proportions of substrate types and macrophyte canopy. The vast majority of macrophytes occurred within the first 3 m of depth. This zone was dominated by a thin but consistent cover of eelgrass (Zostera marina L.) on almost all shores with a current or wave regime conducive to the growth of this plant. However, the eelgrass beds were frequently in poor shape and the negative impacts of commonly occurring water column turbidity, siltation, or possible localized eutrophication, are suspected. All survey data were placed into a Geographic Information System, and this document is a guide to that package. The Geographic Information System could be used to answer management questions such as the placement and character of habitat compensation projects, the selection of nearshore protected areas or as a baseline to determine long term changes.Vandermeulen, H. 2016. Great Lakes Fish Biodiversity Database
The Great Lakes Fish Biodiversity Science Database is a compilation of fish community and habitat data from DFO Science surveys, primarily related to freshwater fishes of conservation concern in the Great Lakes basin. Data include: sampling site location, date, fish species and counts, and associated habitat information. Project-specific details including purpose/objectives and study methodology are often reported in the DFO Canadian data report of fisheries and aquatic sciences series.

Contaminants in fish database
The contaminants in fish database is a compilation of contaminant data analysed from fish tissue at the Fresh Water Institute from 1970 to 2005. Data include lab number, region, analysis, organs, species, lake, form (whole fish, headon dressed, headless dressed), weight, and length and contaminant concentrations. Total mercury was the predominant contaminant measured. Results were expressed as ppm or ppb based on the parameter analyzed. Concentrations are expressed based on wet weight.
