Recreation Polygons
The spatial representation of a recreation feature. This can be either a recreation reserve, recreation site, or an interpretative forest
Facilities - Point
Point layer showing the locations of facilities. A "facility" is an area that contains one or more components. For example, a visitor centre facility might include two parking lots a playground, a separate building for washrooms, a kiosk for renting canoes, picnic tables and barbequesData is not necessarily complete - updates will occur weekly.
Trails
This dataset shows official trails and points of interest within Wildlife Management Areas in Manitoba. This dataset shows official trails and points of interest within Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) in Manitoba. Trails The purpose of this layer is to show recognized trails in Manitoba's wildlife management areas (WMAs). These include designated trails for vehicles, and hiking, biking, and cross-country ski trails. Fields included (alias (field name): field description) OBJECTID (OBJECTID): sequential unique whole numbers that are automatically generated WMA (WMA_Name): wildlife management area name Trail Name (Trail_Name): trail name or number Type (Type): trail type (e.g., walking or biking) Restrictions (Restrictions): use restrictions for the trail Points of Interest The purpose of this layer is to show important points of interest within Manitoba's wildlife management areas (WMAs). These include watercraft access points, interpretative kiosks, trail heads, picnic areas, primitive toilets, and ecological features like snake dens. Fields included (alias (field name): field description) OBJECTID (OBJECTID): sequential unique whole numbers that are automatically generated WMA (WMA_Name): wildlife management area name Feature Name (Feat_Name): name of the point of interest Type (Type): type of feature (e.g., trailhead, interpretive centre) Details (Details): details about the point of interest More information (Info): link to additional information about the point of interest, when available

Historical Open Range - 1963-1994
Historical Open Range - 1963-1994 is a polygon layer that depicts grasslands and shrublands (originally designated as 'on land deemed with no potential for growing trees'). Data were derived from a (retired) Provincial Forest Cover Polygon dataset which was interpreted from air photos. Photograph and interpretation dates range from 1963 to 1994. This dataset has value as temporal snapshots of ecosystems under siege from human and natural processes. Data is useful for identification and analysis of forest ingrowth into grasslands from fire suppression. Encroachment can shift over time, for example from changing climate and disturbance events, and this data provides one measure of that shift. Data may also inform location of wildfire safety buffers around communities.
Vegetation Inventory Field Plots - Whitehorse - 10k
The field plots were used to help during the photo interpretation process. The temporary plots provided essential information to interpreters to relate photo observed attributes with field measurements. The field work for the inventory was carried out during the winter of 2004/2005 with the project delivered by the contractor in October 2005. Delineation was based on 1:10,000 black and white photography acquired by the City of Whitehorse in 2001. Mapping and DTM were available for this project based on the 2001 photography.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Escalating EnforcementCSV
Displays the levels of escalating enforcement applied by health officers to enforce the Manitoba Food and Food Handling Establishment Regulations when food safety violations are not corrected in the prescribed period of timeThis table displays the frequency in which health officers applied escalating levels of enforcement to food processors who did not correct food safety violations in the prescribed amount of time indicated in the inspection. Food processors are given a period of time to correct food safety violations based on the associated risk to food safety. Escalating enforcement is only applied if the violation is not corrected in the prescribed period of time. This table was created by the Food Safety and Inspection Branch - Agriculture and Resource Development department.Field Names (Field Alias): Field description. Period (Period):The period for which the data was collected. Either quarterly or yearly. Year (Year): The specific year of the previously mentioned data collection period. Date (Date): The dates of the calendar year in which the data was collected during a period. Enforcement_Type (Enforcement Type): The individual levels of escalating enforcement applied by health officers. The values for this field are "Warning letter", "Verbal warning", "Offence notice issued", "Closure orders issued", "Suspensions", "Products seized and destroyed", "Products seized and held". Total (Total): the number of occurrences a level of escalating enforcement was applied in a period.
Growing Degree Days
Growing degree days (GDDs) are used to estimate the growth and development of plants and insects during the growing season. Growing Degree Day are computed by subtracting a base value temperature from the mean daily temperature and are assigned a value of zero if negative. Base temperatures are a point below which development does not occur for the organism in question. Growing Degree Day products are created for base 0, 5, 10 and 15 degrees Celsius.GDD values are only accumulated during the Growing Season, April 1 through October 31.
