Land Licences
Land under administration and control of Government of Yukon and disposed of by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (EMR), Land Management Branch in the form of active licences of occupation. A licence grants permission to do something which without the licence would not be allowable. Land Management Branch licences typically permit the construction and maintenance of power, telephone, water or sewer utilities on Commissioner's land. Licences of occupation are linear in nature and often extend long distances, hence the requirement for a separate feature class.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . TANTALIS - Surveyed Right-of-way Parcels
TA_SURVEYED_ROW_PARCELS_SVW contains the spatial representation (polygon) of all parcels of land surveyed for statutory access or Right-of-Way purposes, with active surveys, that are or have been within the purview of the B.C. Crown Land Management program. The view was created to provide a simplified view of this data from the survey parcel information in the Tantalis operational system
Land Applications Active
Land under administration and control of Government of Yukon, Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (EMR), Land Management Branch. Flood Protection Works - Appurtenant Structures
Existing flood protection works appurtenances on or near dikes, for example, pump house, floodbox, culvert, gate, gauge, weir, etc. Updated from available Provincial dike survey project data from 2019/2020. If 2019/2020 dike survey project data is unavailable, appurtenance data based on previous data from 2004 and prior. May include periodic updates depending on data provided by Diking Authorities and other sources. See Data Source under selected appurtenance for details. Land Dispositions
Land under administration and control of Government of Yukon, disposed of by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (EMR), Land Management Branch. This feature class includes: Agreement for Sale: a contract between two or more parties to sell and purchase land. The contract identifies conditions and terms of the transaction. Lease: a special contract between a property owner (landlord) and a person wanting temporary enjoyment and use of the property (tenant) in exchange for rent paid to the property owner. Woodlands Improvement Act areas
Data from the former Kemptville, Midhurst and Aylmer Districts were compiled in this dataset to show forest areas on private land, managed by the landowner in cooperation with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources under the Woodlands Improvement Act (WIA). The WIA allowed for 15-year management agreements between landowners and the MNR to plant and improve woodlands on private land. The WIA was in place from 1966-1999. This data is being provided as-is. No additional data is available, and no updates or maintenance are planned for this dataset.
Digital Soil Mapping
## Purpose The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA) is responsible for Ontario’s provincial soil maps and maintains and update them as necessary. Digital Soil Mapping (DSM) is a modern methodology using spatially explicit soils and environmental data to predict soil variation throughout a landscape at a high, consistent resolution. Digital soil maps are being rolled out throughout Ontario’s agricultural land base to update provincial soil maps. ## Reach Provincial soil maps are used in many decision-making processes including: * land use planning * land evaluation * farming practices * best management practices * ecological monitoring * land resource mapping Potential users of this data include: * farmers * certified crop advisors * conservation authorities * academic researchers * land use planners ## Potential impacts Digital soil maps provide more accurate and precise soils data and enables improved management of soil resources across multiple stakeholders. This allows for better decision making to maximize land use efficiency, improve economic efficiency of soil resources and promote soil health and soil conservation. ## Technical description Digital soil mapping combines geo-referenced soil observations with geo-referenced environmental layers to mathematically model soil variation as a function of environment variation. These models are based on well established, but often complex relationships, between soil properties and topography, biology, geology and hydrology.

Provincial Parks Act Section 7 Lands
The Provincial Parks Act provides for designation of lands to be managed under the Act that are not established as parks/protected areas. These lands are 'declared' under the Provincial Parks (Section 7 Declaration) Regulation, and are legally described in Schedules to the Regulation. Specific provisions of the Act and regulations may be applied to each land parcel declared under section 7 to provide for management of the lands. Section 7 is used to address interim management of lands that have been acquired for park/protected area purposes but are not yet designated, or where activities not permitted in a park/protected area are being managed until such time as the activity is completed and the lands can be designated as a park/protected area. The applicable Ministerial Order is referenced in the 'NOTES' field.
