Level curves
Level curves with an equidistance of 1 m derived from a lidar survey conducted in 2024.attributes:ID - Unique IDSubtype - Master (1) or secondary (2) level curve SCORE - Elevation value (m) The High Resolution Digital Elevation Model (m) product The High Resolution Digital Elevation Model (HRDM) product is available on the Open Government website.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Level curves (west)
Level curve or altitude isopleth of the entire territory of the City of Gatineau (line formed by the relief points located at the same altitude or the line of intersection of a horizontal plane with the terrain relief)**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Level curves (est)
Level curve or altitude isopleth of the entire territory of the City of Gatineau (line formed by the relief points located at the same altitude or the line of intersection of a horizontal plane with the terrain relief)**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Groundwater Level, Groundwater Geoscience Program
Level below which soil or rock is saturated with water, in the well and at the time the level has been measured, expressed in m above the sea level. Groundwater depth is measured on the field, using a water level meters. The depth is then subtracted from the elevation of the measurement site to obtain the water level elevation. The dataset is a general description of the measurement site including location and well elevation. It features a series of points of the surface elevation of the groundwater body.
Urban level curves
The level curves are derived from a LiDAR survey carried out in May 2014.The equidistance is 25 cm, the absolute planimetric accuracy (XY) isof approximately 40 cm and the absolute altimeter accuracy (Z) is approximately 20 cm.The urban sectors covered are the urban perimeters of Rouyn, Noranda,Granada, Évain (partially), Lac-Dufault and the airport.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Level curves
Level curves on the territory of Lévis. The equidistance is 50 cm, produced from a LiDAR survey carried out in May 2017.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Piezometric Surface, Groundwater Geoscience Program
Level below which soil or rock is saturated with water, in the well and at the time the level has been measured, expressed in m above the sea level. Groundwater levels measured are interpolated / extrapolated to obtain groundwater level on every cell of the hydrogeological unit raster. Surfer and ArcGis are the software usually used to create groundwater level raster. The dataset designates a raster with a groundwater level, for each cell of the hydrogeological unit.
Monthly fraction of absorbed photosynthetically active radiation absorbed of Canada from Medium Resolution Satellite Imagery
Fraction of absorbed photosynthetically active radiation (fAPAR) quantified the absorbed by green foliage. fAPAR has been identified by the Global Climate Observing System as an essential climate variable required for ecosystem, weather and climate modelling and monitoring. This product consists of a national scale coverage (Canada) of monthly maps of fAPAR during a growing season (May-June-July-August-September) at 20m resolution.References:L. Brown, R. Fernandes, N. Lidar - Digital models (terrain, canopy, slope, level curve)
__The link: *Access the data directory* is available in the section*Dataset Description Sheets; Additional Information*__.Products derived from lidar (Light Detection and Ranging) are generated as part of the provincial lidar sensor data acquisition project. It is therefore to facilitate the use of raw lidar data and optimize its benefits that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests (MRNF) generated and made available products derived from lidar in a user-friendly format. Lidar technology makes it possible to accurately provide information such as ground altitude, forest cover height (canopy), slopes, and contour lines. Here is the list of the five derivatives: + Digital terrain model (spatial resolution: 1 m)+ Digital terrain model in shaded relief (spatial resolution: 2 m)+ Canopy height model (spatial resolution: 1 m)+ Slopes (spatial resolution: 2 m)+ Level curve (range: 1 m)This data covers almost all of the southern part of the province. This map is distributed by map sheets at a scale of ** 1:20,000**.⚡ If you want to download **lidar point clouds**, please consult the Quebec Lidar Data page.__ ⚠️ 1) Note that__ the resolution of the following products (digital terrain model, digital terrain model in shaded relief, canopy height model and slopes) **has been slightly degraded** when viewed in the interactive map to ensure efficient display.__ ⚠️ 2) Note that__ **the planimetric and altimeter accuracy of the curves is variable**, but inevitably lower than that of the lidar surveys used to generate them. Moreover, it is recommended to use these level curves only for visual representations, and not for quantitative analyses.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Monthly Leaf Area Index of Canada from Medium Resolution Satellite Imagery
Leaf area index (LAI) quantified the density of vegetation irrespective of land cover. LAI quantifies the total foliage surface area per ground surface area. LAI has been identified by the Global Climate Observing System as an essential climate variable required for ecosystem, weather and climate modelling and monitoring. This product consists of a national scale coverage (Canada) of monthly maps of the maximum LAI during a growing season (May-June-july-August-September) at 20m.References:L. Brown, R. Fernandes, N.
