The Versatile Soil Moisture Budget (VSMB) is a soil water budget model that is continuous and deterministic in nature and was developed by AAFC. It is based on the premise that the water available for plant growth is gained by precipitation or irrigation, and lost through evapotranspiration and runoff as well as lateral and deep drainage. The daily net loss or gain is added or subtracted from the water already present in the rooting zone. Water is withdrawn simultaneously, but at different rates, from different soil depths, depending on the potential evapotranspiration, the stage of crop development, the water release characteristics of each soil layer and the available water.

Well capture zones are intended to identify potential areas of risk to aquifers where the release of contaminants could affect the water quality of community wells. The information was compiled as a discreet project under the 'Yukon Water Strategy' and represents a 'snapshot in time' of the Drinking Water Systems. The HealthLink BC Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) data set includes the following: Programs that offer early intervention, transitional care or other services that supplement and facilitate primary and adjunctive therapies; which offer community mental health education programs; or which link people who are in need of treatment with appropriate providers. Programs that provide preventive, diagnostic and treatment services in a variety of community and hospital-based settings to help people achieve, maintain and enhance a state of emotional well-being, personal empowerment and the skills to cope with everyday demands without excessive stress or reliance on alcohol or other drugs. Treatment may include emotional support, introspection and problem-solving assistance using a variety of modalities and approaches, and medication, as needed, for individuals who have a substance use disorder involving alcohol and/or other drugs or for people who range from experiencing difficult life transitions or problems in coping with daily living to those with severe, chronic mental illnesses that seriously impact their lives. Multidisciplinary programs, often offered on an inpatient basis with post-discharge outpatient therapy, that provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for individuals who have anorexia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, bulimia or a related eating disorder. Treatment depends on the specific type of eating disorder involved but typically involves psychotherapy, nutrition education, family counseling, medication and hospitalization, if required, to stabilize the patient's health. Conservation Easements on private land in Saskatchewan.Conservation easements are legal agreements between a landowner and a conservation agency to preserve natural features and resources on private lands. Under these agreements, landowners continue to own and manage the land which provides benefits to both the landowner and the environment.As a landowner, you can take steps to preserve your property"s conservation values, and retain use of the land, by entering into an agreement with an eligible conservation agency or level of government.Conservation easements can be permanent or granted for a specified time. They may be applied to the entire property or just a portion containing the natural features.A conservation easement is an option for any landowner whose land contains conservation value. Reasons why an easement may be granted:-To protect, enhance or restore a natural area;-To preserve an open stretch of land; or-To retain significant archaeological or historic features.

The intention is to show the boundaries of all refuges in Manitoba, as designated by the Designation of Wildlife Lands Regulation (171/2001) under The Wildlife Act (C.C.S.M. c. W130). Refuge types include Wildlife Refuge, Game Bird Refuge, Goose Refuge, and Fur Bearing Animal Refuge. The Use of Wildlife Lands Regulation (77/99) determines what activities are prohibited within each refuge.Boundaries are drawn based on the physical description described in regulation, or imported using CAD files from the official Director of Surveys Plan stated in regulation.

The Social Vulnerability component of the National Human Settlement Layer (NHSL) includes information about broad spatial patterns of social vulnerability at the neighbourhood scale, and indicators about the capacities for a community to withstand and recover from disaster events based on intrinsic characteristics of housing, family structure, individual autonomy and financial agency.Information in the model provides a means of comparing relative levels of social vulnerability from one region to another across Canada and helps to identify specific dimensions within a community that contributes to their relative levels of social vulnerability. This information is not intended for site-specific study, but instead to understand broad patterns of social characteristics and vulnerability across multiple census dissemination areas.
