In British Columbia, there are over 100 Livestock Districts, Bull Control Areas and Pound Districts established by regulation under the Livestock Act. Livestock Districts, with minor exceptions, are areas where livestock may run at large within the district boundaries. Bull Control Areas are areas within Livestock District, in which Bull Control Committees may make rules respecting the number, breed, breeding, quality and age of bulls allowed to run at large. Pound Districts are areas where keepers, peace officers and others may impound animals at large, and allow for the sale of unclaimed impounded animals and the reimbursement of the keeper. Get a list of provincially licensed operators that collect, transport, process and dispose of deadstock (dead farm animals) in Ontario. This dataset includes facility type, name, location/region and contact information of licensed deadstock operators in Ontario. The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness and the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, in consultation with stakeholders, have developed regulations for the disposal of deadstock (dead farm animals) in Ontario. The regulations provide more disposal options for livestock producers and meat plant operators, with measures to protect the environment.

These files from Statistics Canada present Census of Agriculture data allocated by standard census geographic polygons: Provinces and Territories (PR), Census Agricultural Regions (CAR), Census Divisions (CD) and Census Consolidated Subdivisions (CCS). Five datasets are provided:1. Agricultural operation characteristics: includes information on farm type, operating arrangements, paid agricultural work and financial characteristics of the agricultural operation.2. Land tenure and management practices: includes information on land use, land tenure, agricultural practices, land inputs, technologies used on the operation and the renewable energy production on the operation.3. This collection of interactive web maps shows ordered drain areas, issued construction permits, and manure management plans required under the Livestock Manure and Mortalities Management Regulation (LMMMR) in Manitoba. It also includes environment office locations and coverage areas.This application provides information about livestock manure management in Manitoba. Each tab displays a different source of data, including issued construction permits for manure storage facilities and confined livestock areas, manure management plans, watershed information, and environment office coverage areas and contact information.   Issued Construction Permits: This web map shows construction permits, issued under the Livestock Manure and Mortalities Management Regulation (LMMMR), for manure storage facilities and confined livestock areas in Manitoba.  Facilities built before the permit requirement that are registered with the province are also identified on the map.    Manure Management Plans: This web map shows where annual manure management plans (MMP) have been submitted in accordance with the Livestock Manure and Mortalities Management Regulation (LMMMR) in Manitoba.  The map also shows boundaries for certain areas and the Red River Valley Special Management Area.  Ordered Drains: This web map shows the Designated Drains Index and Watershed Districts in Manitoba. Each polygon in the Designated Drains Index represents a drain map area and includes a link to an online drain map.  Watershed Districts were established under the The Watershed Districts Act, proclaimed on January 1, 2020.  Manitoba's Watershed Districts Program creates healthy and sustainable watersheds through land and water stewardship programs and partnerships. With funding from the Manitoba government and partnering municipalities, locally-appointed watershed district boards make planning and management decisions to improve watershed health across most of municipal Manitoba.  Environment Offices: This web map shows coverage areas and provides contact information for Manitoba government Environmental Compliance and Enforcement offices.

The Agri-Environmental Spatial Data (AESD) product from the Census of Agriculture provides a large selection of farm-level variables from the Census of Agriculture and uses alternative data sources to improve the spatial distribution of the production activities. Therefore, the AESD database offers clients the possibility to better analyze the impact of agriculture activities on the environment and produce key indicators, or for any applications where accurate location of activities matters. Variables are offered using two types of physical boundaries: by Soil Landscape of Canada polygons and by Sub-sub-drainage areas (watersheds). The focus of the redistribution of the data is on the field crops and land use variables, but the database includes all census variables related to crops, livestock and management practices.This frame can also be used to extract Census of Agriculture data by custom geographic areas. Also, users interested in this version of the Census of Agriculture database using administrative types of regions can request it.
