Water wells
The well registry is a collection of records, including drilling logs and report documents, maintained by Yukon Government. These records provide information on the well construction details and subsurface conditions encountered at the time of drilling. Although some information in the dataset may be edited over time, the primary purpose is to document the original drilling conditions and not to provide an updated status of the well. There is no current overarching requirement for drillers or owners to submit well logs, therefore many have been provided on a voluntary basis. Therefore, this should not be expected to be a complete list of all wells across the territory. The water well dataset contains records obtained through the domestic water well program, voluntary submissions, and regulatory processes (licenses and permits). No identifiable personal information will be used or available on the public database. For further information about privacy and the protection of your personal information contact the Departmental Privacy Officer at (867) 667-5237.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Asian Longhorned Beetle Regulated Areas
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) established a regulated area as part of its efforts to eradicate the Asian longhorned beetle (ALHB). With the regulation of this area, there are restrictions on the movement of nursery stock, trees, logs, lumber, wood, wood chips and bark chips from certain deciduous trees identified as hosts of the ALHB and firewood of all species. These restrictions are necessary to prevent the spread of the ALHB. This protects Canada's environment and forest resources, and also helps keep international markets open to the forest industry and nurseries in non-regulated parts of Ontario and in the rest of Canada.
Sandstone-Hosted Uranium Potential of Alberta: Study of Oil and Gas Well Logs (tabular data, tab delimited format)
This dataset evaluates the sandstone-hosted uranium potential of Alberta. An Alberta Geological Survey database of oil and gas well logs were queried to identify wells with gamma values greater than 300 API (American Petroleum Institute units). An algorithm written for this analysis queried more than 48 000 gamma ray logs from more than 22 000 wells. Of those, 11 476 readings greater than 300 API, within the upper 500 metres, were found in 6176 wells. We selected 1318 wells, verified the anomaly and determined rock types using a combination of gamma, density and resistivity logs. This dataset is associated with Alberta Geological Survey Open File Report 2009-0012.
Geophysical Wireline Well Logs from Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development Water Well Drill Hole Data Holdings in Log ASCII Standard (LAS) Format
In 2002 the Alberta Geological Survey initiated a project to scan and digitize water well geophysical logs from Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development (ESRD) water well data holdings. Casual and summer student staff scanned hard copy logs systematically by NTS mapsheet starting with the Cold Lake area. Scanned logs were digitized into Log ASCII Standard version 2 by Divestco Ltd. This data release consists of 8,763 LAS files, comprised mostly of resistivity logs, and a tab delimited index file. About 1% of the LAS files also contain a natural gamma log. The API number (APIN) in the log header refers to Alberta Environment's water well identifier number used at the time the logs were digitized. There are 205 records where the API number starts with 900. We were unable to confidently match the log file surface location to an AENV location for these records. The approximate aerial coverage is from latitude 49 degrees to 56 degrees N and from longitude 110 degrees to 120 degrees W. This work concluded in March, 2007.
Groundwater Regions of Nova Scotia
The Department of Natural Resources and Renewables (NRR) (formerly the Department of Energy and Mines) and Nova Scotia Environment and Climate Change (ECC) maintains an electronic Well Log Database which contains water well construction and location information for water wells in the Province of Nova Scotia. Information in the database is entered from original paper copies of well logs that are submitted by certified well drillers and well diggers to ECC. This version of the database was extracted on January 5, 2022 and contains 125,517 well logs constructed between 1940 and 2021, inclusive.

Discharge Cases (Spills) Historic
This tabular data contains environmental discharges (spills) in Saskatchewan with limited information outlining best known location, confirmed substance and quantity. This data is limited to events that occurred before January 1, 2015. Information is not always complete, please contact the Ministry of Environment for further details. The Ministry of Environment's Environmental Protection Branch (EPB) is responsible for responding to incidents where a substance has been discharged into the environment. Under The Environmental Management and Protection Act 2010 (EMPA, 2010), “discharge” means a discharge, drainage, deposit, release or emission into the environment. These records include locations and details of discharge incidents in the Province of Saskatchewan and are currently limited to incidents that were reported to the ministry prior to January 2015. The Discharge Date is when the Ministry created the record. This is not necessarily the date of the discharge event. We will continue to improve the quality of the information in the table. As it is validated it will move to the map format, consequently you may notice changes from the table to map format. Information related to discharges after Janurary 2015 to present are currently found at: https://geohub.saskatchewan.ca/datasets/saskatchewan::discharge-cases-spills/about For further information, please contact the Ministry of Environment Inquiry Centre (Toll Free): 800-567-4224, email: centre.inquiry@gov.sk.ca or visit: Hazardous Spills Reporting.
Discharge Cases (Spills)
This map data displays environmental discharges (spills) in Saskatchewan with location, confirmed substance and quantity. This data is limited to events that occurred between January 1, 2015 to present. The Ministry of Environment is responsible for responding to incidents where a substance of potential concern has been discharged into the environment. The Environmental Management and Protection Act, 2010 defines this as a discharge, drainage, deposit, release or emission into the environment. We are currently improving how this information is displayed. This map provides information on more recent discharges that were reported to the ministry. For older Spills, please go to our new GeoHub page: Discharge Cases (Spills) historic incidents”Please note: information may take up to 30 days to be updated and is subject to change at any time. For further information, please contact the Ministry of Environment Inquiry Centre (Toll Free): 800-567-4224, email: centre.inquiry@gov.sk.ca or visit: Hazardous Spills Reporting.
Historical Flood Events (HFE)
Representation of the causes of flooding events in the form of multiple points. The point groupings correspond to the set of locations that were affected by the same event. The inventory of past flooding events was compiled from various public sources and standardized into a common data model. Sources used are included in the data. Event locations have been extensively revised to have one location per location reported as affected by the flood. Flood events for which no location was included in the sources used are positioned on the place name of the location affected by the flood. The event positions do not indicate where the flooding occurred. Flood events that affected more than one locality are represented by a multipoint. For each event after January 1, 1980 caused by a heavy rainfall or a coastal storm , a precipitation analysis document, a precipitation animation and the precipitation data are available. These documents are the result of a collaboration with Environment and Climate Change Canada.Disclaimer:It should be noted that no consultation was conducted with the various providers and stakeholders of the historic flood data. Disparities in content among the various sources result in an incomlete product. No warranty is given as to the accuracy or completeness of the information provided. The absence of information does not mean that no flooding has occurred.
Forest Management Units
An administrative unit of forest land designated by the Minister, as authorized under Section 14(1) of the Forests Act.
