Manitoba Original Survey Legal Descriptions
Feature layer depicting the centre of quarter sections, parish lots and others in Manitoba. The purpose of this layer is to provide search criteria for Manitoba legal descriptions. This feature layer is comprised of point locations that represent the centre of the bounds of the corresponding legal parcel. The types of legal descriptions include quarter sections (D.L.S.), river lots, parish lots, wood lots, outer two mile lots, and settlement lots. The point may not fall exactly on the centre of the legal parcel of land. This feature layer is meant as a search tool to locate the general location of the given legal description and it may not be exact. The points were initially derived from a variety of sources. Most of the points came from the Southern and Northern Grid of DLS section boundaries created by Sustainable Development. Fields included (Alias (Field Name): Field Description) OBJECTID (OBJECTID_1): Sequential unique whole numbers that area automatically generated Informal Legal Description (LEGAL_DESC): The informal legal description (No leading zeros on numbers). Formal Legal Description (LEGAL_DESC0): The formal legal description (Leading zeros on numbers). Type (TYPE): The type of legal division ('Quarter' = Quarter section, 'RL' = River lot, 'Lot' = Township lot, 'OT' = Outer two mile lot, 'PL' = Parish lot, 'SL' = Settlement lot, 'WL' = Wood lot). Quarter (QUARTER): Which DLS quarter section the point is referencing (NE, NW, SE or SW meaning respectfully North-east, North-west, South-east or South-west) Section (SECTION): The DLS section the point is referencing (1-36). Township (TOWNSHIP): The DLS township the point is referencing. Range (RANGE): The DLS range the point is referencing. Lot No. (LOT_NO): The lot number of the corresponding river, settlement, township, outer two mile or parish lot. Meridian (MERIDIAN): The meridian of the section (East 1, East 2 or West 1). Parish Name (PARISH_NAME): The name of the parish that the lot belongs to. Range Addition (RANGEADD): The added text for specific range values (if applicable).
Cottage Lot Polygons
Feature dataset containing polygon layers for Crown Land cottage lots in ManitobaThis feature polygon dataset contains two layers; - Subdivision Polygons, and Cottage Lot Polygons. Manitoba provides an opportunity to purchase a cottage lot located on Crown Land. When new cottage lots become available to the public, these lots are offered through the Cottage Lot Draw process. In the event that new cottage lots are not selected through the draw process, the remaining lots become part of the First-Come, First-Served Cottage Lot Inventory. A current listing of lots available on a first come, first served basis is found in this dataset. This feature dataset is used in the Manitoba Cottage Lots Map and the Manitoba Cottage Lots app.

Lot fabric improved
The spatial accuracy of the lot fabric for some townships has been improved through the Ontario Parcel, Township Realignment and Township Improvement projects. Improvements to the fabric may include: * road allowance widths * spatial changes to better represent the location of lot boundaries * more consistent concession names. Data is collected on an on-going basis. The time period "end date" may be more recent than indicated here.
A Canada-wide ocean biogeochemical model encompassing the North Atlantic, North Pacific and Arctic Oceans
Description:This dataset consists of monthly mean simulation results from Canada's three Oceans: the Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic from 2015 to 2017.Abstract from the report:A numerical ocean model with biogeochemistry has been developed for a domain that spans Canada's three oceans: the Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic. The domain extends to 26°N in the Atlantic and 44°N in the Pacific, and spans the full width of each basin as well as the whole of the Arctic Ocean. The resolution is moderate to high (≈0.25°, 75 levels). A series of simulations was conducted to assess the best choices for biogeochemical model parameters across the diverse regions, using a variety of validation data sets including satellite ocean colour (surface chlorophyll and particulate organic carbon, integrated primary production), surface underway pCO2, and depth profiles of oxygen and nitrate concentration from ships and Argo floats. In addition to parameter values, processes examined include interactive sediments, fluvial nutrients, light attenuation by fluvial coloured dissolved organic matter (CDOM), and iron limitation. The results indicate that the optimal parameter set is one that limits phytoplankton losses to grazing and other processes so as to ensure strong biological drawdown of dissolved inorganic carbon and nutrients in spring and summer; among the parameter sets tested both insufficient and excessive drawdown were observed. Sensitivity to other processes such as interactive sediments, fluvial nutrients or CDOM attenuation was weak in most regions. In some regions, attenuation by CDOM or sequestration of nutrients in the sediment can substantially reduce primary production and zooplankton biomass, and fluvial nutrients can cause localized reduction of pCO2 by as much as 60 μatm. Iron limitation has an effect on the model solution in regions generally considered iron-replete; building a model that successfully spans iron-limited and non-iron-limited domains will require complete and accurate specification of iron sources and sinks.
Niagara Escarpment Plan boundary
The purpose of this dataset is to depict the boundaries of the Niagara Escarpment Plan. The outer boundary of the area covered by the Niagara Escarpment Plan is fixed and inflexible. It can only be changed by a plan amendment. It is formed by a combination of features like: * roads * railways * electrical transmission lines * municipal and property boundaries * lot lines * rivers * other topographic features [More information](http://www.escarpment.org)
