Weather stations operated by Manitoba Agriculture.Manitoba Agriculture operates a network of over 100 weather stations across Manitoba's agricultural region which provide hourly updated air temperature, relative humidity, precipitation, wind speed and direction, soil temperature and soil moisture. The WeatherStations feature class displays the location of the weather stations and its table contains a link to current weather for each station. Environment Canada issues weather alerts about weather related hazards in order to notify those in affected areas so that they can take steps to protect themselves and their property from harm. Alerts are classified depending on the severity and timing of the subject event and include: warnings, watches, advisories and statements. Warnings are usually issued six to 24 hours in advance, although some severe weather (such as thunderstorms and tornadoes) can occur rapidly, with less than a half hours' notice.

This dataset includes all MPMO projects at various stages in the review process, including those that are currently undergoing review and those that have completed a review.

The Weather Stations dataset is derived from the Regional Weather Information System (RWIS). Currently only weather stations owned by Yukon Wildland Fire Management, Park s Canada, Environment and Yukon Avalanche Association are included in this dataset. This data contains the memorials and monuments located in communities across the country. Currently, more than 8,000 memorials are included in this data. This data is regularly updated as we continue to receive information on Canadian military memorials.

The Regional Deterministic Precipitation Analysis (RDPA) produces a best estimate of precipitation amounts that occurred over a period of 24 hours. The estimate integrates data from in situ precipitation gauge measurements, weather radar, satellite imagery and numerical weather prediction models. Geographic coverage is North America (Canada, United States and Mexico). Data is available at a horizontal resolution of 10 km. The 24 hour analysis is produced twice a day and is valid at 06 and 12 UTC. A preliminary analysis is available approximately 1 hour after the end of the accumulation period and a final one is generated 7 hours later in order to assimilate more gauge data.

The Regional Deterministic Precipitation Analysis (RDPA) produces a best estimate of the amount of precipitation that occurred over recent past periods of 6 or 24 hours. The estimate integrates data from in situ precipitation gauge measurements, weather radar, satellite imagery and numerical weather prediction models. Geographic coverage is North America (Canada, United States and Mexico). Data is available at horizontal resolution of 10 km. Data is only available for the surface level. Analysis data is made available four times a day for 6h intervals and twice a day for the 24h interval. A preliminary estimate is available approximately 1h after the end of the accumulation period, and revised 7h after in order to assimilate gauge data arriving later.

Precipitation Percentiles represents the accumulated precipitation (mm) for the time period compared to historical information for the same time period. This comparison ranks the current precipitation amount and assigns it a percentile value based on a historic record.Products are produced for the following timeframes: Agricultural Year, Growing Season and Winter Season as well as rolling products for 30, 60, 90 and 180 days
