Compilation of drillholes for mineral exploration and Quaternary studies in the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada.This dataset is compilation of uranium drillholes prior to 2007, and since that time has expanded to include metallic and industrial mineral exploration drillholes and surficial sedimentology drillholes. This is an ongoing compilation whereby recent drillholes that become publically available are added. In addition, improvements are frequently made to more historic drillholes with spurious information. The AMDO (Alberta Mineral Deposits and Occurrences) application was created by the Minerals and Coal Geoscience Section of the Alberta Geological Survey as a database for mineral deposits in Alberta in the early 1990s. It was originally released as Open File Report OFR 1991-17. Industrial minerals from that data source have been extracted into Microsoft Access, their locations refined or corrected and presented in GIS format.

A mineral lease is a mineral claim that has been surveyed by a Canada Lands Surveyor. A mineral lease can be applied for after an exploration prospecting company has done a minimum of representation work in the claim area and if a legal survey on the claim has been recorded.
