Landform conservation areas represent areas of significant landform features such as: * steep slopes * kames * kettles * ravines * ridges This dataset identifies Category 1 and Category 2 landform conservation areas as defined in the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan. For further information on the definition and identification of Landform Conservation Areas as it relates to the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan, refer to the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan Technical Paper Series: Landform Conservation. All digital information is confined to the Oak Ridges Moraine area.

This dataset was created to establish a permanent boundary. Lands within this boundary are subject to the principles contained in the Oak Ridges Moraine Legislation. Boundary is complete as of October, 2001.

Oak Ridges Moraine: land use designations
This dataset was created to provide land use information on the Oak Ridges Moraine and is the basis for Ontario Regulation 140/02. The data was digitized at 1:10,000 or better using 0.5 metre air photos, MNR, DMTI, Upper and Lower-tier Official Plans and digital vector layers.

This is a polygon feature class representing large, named, physiographic features (areas) in the province, e.g., mountains, mountain ranges, ridges, plateaus, hills, and valleys.
