Predictive model of Li-Cs-Ta pegmatite deposits
This model is derived from geological and geophysical data, which is processed using deep learning and natural language processing techniques. Displayed is a Pan-Canadian probability map indicating the likelihood of discovering next-generation lithium-cesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatites. This map was generated using known Canadian LCT pegmatites and their associated geospatial features, incorporating geological and geophysical data analyzed through deep learning and natural language processing techniques. Higher probability values highlight areas with an increased likelihood of hosting next-generation deposits, making this map a valuable tool for decision-making.

The dataset represents applications for a mining permit. This point dataset is for "regional mines”. Notice of Work (NoW) is the name of the application. Mining activities with disturbance to the ground need approval. Section 10 of the Mines Act issues the authorization or permit. **NOTE**: Administrative amendments to a NoW are not captured in this dataset. We are currently working to include this addition for a more complete view of the data. For proponents, please log into https://minespace.gov.bc.ca/ to confirm any authorizations on your permits. Regional mines include: - Exploration — mineral, coal, rock quarry, industrial mineral or dimension stone - Sand and gravel — aggregate, rock or natural substances used for construction purposes - Placer Part 9.1.1 and 10.1.1 of the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in British Columbia describe the requirements. Minerals and Quaternary Drillhole Compilation
Compilation of drillholes for mineral exploration and Quaternary studies in the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada.This dataset is compilation of uranium drillholes prior to 2007, and since that time has expanded to include metallic and industrial mineral exploration drillholes and surficial sedimentology drillholes. This is an ongoing compilation whereby recent drillholes that become publically available are added. In addition, improvements are frequently made to more historic drillholes with spurious information. The dataset is not an exhaustive list of drillholes in Saskatchewan. **Please Note – All published Saskatchewan Geological Survey datasets, including those available through the Saskatchewan Mining and Petroleum GeoAtlas, are sourced from the Enterprise GIS Data Warehouse. They are therefore identical and share the same refresh schedule.

National Inventory of Orphaned and Abandoned Mines
This database aggregates basic information on orphaned and abandoned mine sites from participating Canadian jurisdictions, including their name, location, jurisdiciton, and the commodity that was mined. It was originally created in 2012 through the National Orphaned/Abandoned Mines Initiative and has undergone several updates since that time. Data on sites in each jurisdiction is owned and maintained by that jurisdiction. The database includes links to the corresponding records in that jursidiction. While the database includes common informaiton about all sites, there may be discrepancies in the types of data provided about sites in different jurisdictions and data from some jurisdictions may be updated more frequently than others.
