Landscape Management Units - 250k
The purpose of this feature class is to identify the forest resources management zones within a Forest Resources Management Plan, as per subsection 2(h) of the Forest Resources Regulation. These sub-divided smaller forest planning areas or landscape units are based on watershed boundaries and modified by local access and development patterns. They usually contain similar management concerns and forest types. The units form the boundaries for detailed information gathering, monitoring and planning.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Legal Planning Objectives - Current - Line
Spatially identified and mapped legal objective lines as determined from strategic land and resource planning processes in the province of British Columbia. Legal objectives can encompass objectives developed and grandfathered under now repealed Forest Practices Code legislation (including Higher level Plans), as well as new and existing objectives developed through the Land Use Objectives Regulation and the Land Act to support FRPA implementation. This layer contains line features. The Strategic Land and Resource Planning documents can be accessed [here](https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/industry/crown-land-water/land-use-planning/regions). Current SLRP legal objective lines are included in this layer. For all SLRP legal objective points (retired and current), please see the layer [Legal Planning Objectives - All - Line](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/b648ac2d-6a9a-426c-9dcd-39ec188d7f36).
Land uses
Land uses of the most recent version in force of the revised land use and development plan for the City of Sherbrooke. Seed Planning Unit Geometry
Seed Planning Unit (SPU) geometry is comprised of Seed Planning Zone geometry delineated by elevation ranges. Each SEED_PLAN_UNIT_ID relates to a SEED_PLAN_ZONE for a specific tree species and minimum/maximum elevation in meters. Seed Planning Units only apply to Genetic Class A (orchard/parent tree). Some coastal species also have a latitude range. The geometry can be joined to the SEED_PLAN_UNIT table using SEEED_PLAN_UNIT_ID to determine the Seed Planning Zone, tree species and elevation range.
Likelihood of Presence of Harbour Seal in Area Response Planning Pilot Areas
Likelihood of Presence of Harbour Seal in the Bay of Fundy and Port Hawkesbury Area Response Plan. The Coastal Oceanography and Ecosystem Research section (DFO Science) reviewed science sources and local knowledge sources to estimate where Harbour seals are seasonally present and delineate these areas. As of March 2017, this dataset delineates the presence of Harbour seals in the Bay of Fundy and Port Hawkesbury areas of Nova Scotia designated within the Area Response Planning (ARP), identified under the World Class Tanker Safety System (WCTSS) initiative, based on the Transport Canada Response Organizations Standards.A version of this dataset was created for the National Environmental Emergency Center (NEEC) following their data model and is available for download in the Resources section.Cite this data as: Lazin, G., Hamer, A.,Corrigan, S., Bower, B., and Harvey, C. Non Legal Planning Features - Current - Line
A spatially identified line on land and/or water that has been mapped for specific land and/or resource uses as determined through a strategic land and resource planning process. This layer represents non-legalized planning lines only, thus the direction given within the planning designation is policy only and is not legally enforceable. This layer contains line geometries. Current SLRP non-legal line features are included in this layer. For all SLRP non-legal line features (retired and current), please see the layer [Non Legal Planning Features - All - Line](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/f72a0619-0a7a-4ade-bf1a-946339aedfd1).
Non Legal Planning Features - Current - Point
A spatially identified point on land and/or water that has been mapped for specific land and/or resource uses as determined through a strategic land and resource planning process. This layer represents non-legalized planning lines only, thus the direction given within the planning designation is policy only and is not legally enforceable. This layer contains point geometries. Current SLRP non-legal point features are included in this layer. For all SLRP non-legal point features (retired and current), please see the layer [Non Legal Planning Features - All - Point](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/5f4afb95-4ecf-4c39-83d5-1e6644df8c95).
Timber harvest plans - 50k
The purpose of this feature class is to identify those areas that are in the process of Timber Harvest Planning, process being a continuum from proposed plan through to approval and eventually plan expiration. Subsection 20(3) of the Forest Resources Act establishes that an approved Timber Harvest Plan is required prior to the authorization of timber harvesting under a Harvesting Licence or authorization of a Forest Resources Permit for non-commercial timber harvesting in an amount greater than 25m3 per year. A Timber Harvest Plan:• Must be developed in accordance with Sections 5 through 7 of the Forest Resources Regulation. • Identifies forest resources in the area and areas suitable for timber harvesting and establishes objectives for timber harvesting.• Must be consistent with any Forest Resources Management Plan that applies to the same area.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Non Legal Planning Features - Current - Polygon
A spatially identified polygon on land and/or water that has been mapped for specific land and/or resource uses as determined through a strategic land and resource planning process. This layer represents non-legalized planning lines only, thus the direction given within the planning designation is policy only and is not legally enforceable. This layer contains polygon geometries. Current SLRP non-legal polygon shapes are included in this layer. Eastern Canada Marine Spatial Planning Areas
Three marine spatial planning areas are delineated in Eastern Canada to define the spatial extents of marine spatial plans being led by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO): the Estuary and Gulf of St. Lawrence (EGSL), the Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Shelves, and the Scotian Shelf and Bay of Fundy. The EGSL planning area includes the St. Lawrence River estuary from northeast of Île d’Orléans, Quebec, the Saguenay River estuary, and the entire Gulf of St. Lawrence as far north as the Strait of Belle Isle (NAFO Divisions 4RST). The NL Shelves planning area includes areas off southern, eastern and northern Newfoundland, part of the Churchill River and Lake Melville, as well as off the Labrador coast to the extent of the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) (NAFO Divisions 2GHJ and 3KLNOP). The Scotian Shelf and Bay of Fundy planning area includes DFO Maritimes’ administrative region off the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia to the extent of the EEZ, the Bay of Fundy and the Canadian portion of the Gulf of Maine (NAFO Divisions 4VWX, 5Ze, and the Canadian portion of 5Y). The French EEZ for St. Pierre et Miquelon is excluded from the three planning areas. These planning areas are derived from Federal Marine Bioregions (https://open.canada.ca/data/en/dataset/23eb8b56-dac8-4efc-be7c-b8fa11ba62e9) that were developed by a Canadian Science Advisory Secretariat process using ecosystem-based management principles to define 13 ecological bioregions that have informed but not directed DFO implementation of marine spatial planning.
