Timing Windows for Work in and About Waterbodies in the Cariboo Natural Resource Region
Timing windows are the period(s) during the year when work may be carried out in and about water bodies with the lowest risk to fish and wildlife species and habitat. Timing windows and terms and conditions vary based on regional differences in fish and wildlife species and habitat, and geography. The timing window of least risk to fish and fish habitat must be applied to all activities in water bodies, as well as tributaries that have a risk of depositing sediment into water bodies. Windows of least risk are designed to protect all fish species known to occur in a water body.
Manitoba Waterbody Entry Points
This point layer dataset contains information on Manitoba waterbody access points including boat launches, overland routes and tunnels.Waterbody Entry Points contains point data primarily of boat launches in Manitoba, but it also includes overland routes and tunnel access to some waterbodies. Manitoba Development Plan Designations
The purpose of this layer is to provide end users with a spatial representation of the Designated Areas in adopted Development Plans and their consolidated amendments in Manitoba. It also allows users of the data to undertake a variety of land use planning analyses based on Development Plan Designations. This layer is intended to be a source of data delivery as well as usage in situ. This dataset is comprised of boundary geometry representing the Development Plan Designations for all of the Development Plan bylaws (as defined in The Planning Act) in force and effect within the Province of Manitoba. Spatial referencing of the designations is based on the best available land parcel data for each municipality. Where available, land parcel data based on registered survey plans and ground control coordinates was used. Otherwise, the reference grid maintained by Manitoba Sustainable Development was used. The delineation of the boundaries is set by the bylaw establishing or amending the boundary of each designation. Dataset content is subject to: Ongoing changes in designated areas which are determined by amendments to adopted Development Plans or the adoption of new Development Plans. Ongoing development and maintenance of the land parcel datasets. Improvements to the land parcel data are used to improve the positional accuracy of the Development Plan designation polygons. As of the publication date of this dataset, the following known issues remain: For designation boundaries that include water boundaries, the water boundary that best reflects the intended designation boundary was used. In some instances, road allowances on a municipal boundary are included in both of the adjoining municipalities. Please visit the Manitoba Municipal Relations website for more information at www.gov.mb.ca/mr. The Development Plan Designations data reflects the most current designations at the time of export and was uploaded to Manitoba Maps as a feature layer. Fields Included: OBJECTID: Sequential unique whole numbers that are automatically generated DP_BYLAW: Number assigned by planning authority to identify a specific bylaw DPA_BYLAW: Number assigned to a bylaw that amends an existing development plan bylaw PLANNINGDISTRICT: Name of the Planning District establishing the bylaws PLANNINGREGION: Area of responsibility for a Community and Regional Planning Branch (In the Department of Municipal Relations) office ACRES: Area of each polygon expressed in acres DES_NAME: Name of Designation as stated in the Development Plan bylaw DES_CATEGORY: Designation category as interpreted by Municipal Relations RES_MIN_ACRES_PER_LOT: Minimum acreage for a residential lot as defined by the Development Plan bylaw RES_MAX_ACRES_PER_LOT: Maximum acreage for a residential lot as defined by the Development Plan bylaw MUNI_NO: Manitoba municipality identifier number MUNI_NAME: Name of municipality AU_LIMIT: Animal Unit limit as set by the Development Plan Policy

Timber harvest plans - 50k
The purpose of this feature class is to identify those areas that are in the process of Timber Harvest Planning, process being a continuum from proposed plan through to approval and eventually plan expiration. Subsection 20(3) of the Forest Resources Act establishes that an approved Timber Harvest Plan is required prior to the authorization of timber harvesting under a Harvesting Licence or authorization of a Forest Resources Permit for non-commercial timber harvesting in an amount greater than 25m3 per year. A Timber Harvest Plan:• Must be developed in accordance with Sections 5 through 7 of the Forest Resources Regulation. • Identifies forest resources in the area and areas suitable for timber harvesting and establishes objectives for timber harvesting.• Must be consistent with any Forest Resources Management Plan that applies to the same area.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Inland Water Bodies Map of Canada and Neighbouring Regions at 250-m Spatial Resolution
This dataset comprises a map of inland water bodies in Canada and neighboring regions, as described by Ghayourmanesh et al. (2024). The data are mapped using the Lambert Conformal Conic (LCC) geographic projection with a spatial resolution of 250 meters. The LCC projection is frequently used as a standard projection at the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing (CCRS) (Trishchenko et al., 2016, Trishchenko, 2019). Each pixel value represents a code describing either the probability of inland water presence or land/ocean(sea) mask
Polygons of inland water bodies of the Magdalen Islands Lagoons Marine Refuge
This cartographic dataset represents a geomorphological update of the boundaries of the five inland water bodies that form the Magdalen Islands Marine Refuge. It was produced by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) as part of its marine refuge characterization work. The data used comes from the August 15, 2022 version of the Quebec maritime Geospatial Database of Coastal Ecosystems (GDB), developed from various sources including satellite and airborne images from 2019 (Jobin et al. 2021; Provencher-Nolet et al. 2024). The boundaries of the inland water bodies were defined according to the upper high tide line, which represents the maximum extent of the water during the highest tides. The final product is a polygonal shapefile representing the five inland water bodies of the marine refuge as well as the terrestrial areas of the archipelago. The data are projected in NAD83 / MTM zone 4.For more information on the method used to generate this layer from the GDB, see Grégoire et al. (2026). The method used to create the source geospatial data is described in Jobin et al. (2021) and Provencher-Nolet et al. (2024).
Area Based Management Plans
Area Based Management Plans (ABMP) are designated areas for the purposes of environmental protection. It must consider the impact of point and non-point source of waste, cumulative impact of the wastes, environmental management objectives and outcomes for the designated area, and ongoing monitoring and reporting.
