The purpose is to provide end users with a digital map of Manitoba's property assessment boundaries and summary assessment data. This data layer is suitable for GIS georeferencing. The Manitoba Property Assessment Information data reflects the most current mapping data available and was originally uploaded to Manitoba Maps as a feature layer on December 23, 2016. Fields Included: OBJECTID: Sequential unique whole numbers that are automatically generated ROLL_NO: Identify property within a municipality ROLL_NO_TXT: Identify property within a municipality. Formatted with 3 decimals PROPERTY_ADDRESS: Civic address if the property has one. Otherwise short legal description-section/township/range or plan MUNI_NO: Manitoba municipality identifier number MUNICIPALITY: Manitoba municipality identifier number and legal name of municipality MUNI_NAME_WITH_TYP: Name of municipality suitable for alphabetical list including type ASMT_ROLL: Tax year and assessment roll version (Preliminary, Final, Tax) DWELLING_UNITS: Number of dwelling units on the property FRONTAGE_OR_AREA: size of property in either acres or feet of frontage TOTAL_VALUE: Assessed value of property as of tax year and assessment roll version

TANTALIS - Crown Land Leases
TA_CROWN_LEASES_SVW - A Crown Land Lease is a type of land tenure issued under the Land Act. A Land Act Lease is issued where long term tenure is required, where substantial improvements are proposed, and/or where definite boundaries are required in order to avoid land use and property conflicts. The tenure holder is granted the exclusive use and enjoyment of the area. The tenure holder also has the right to exclude or charge the public for use of the land and/or improvements, when this is consistent with the terms of the lease. Crown Leases require a (cadastral) survey prior to issuance
TANTALIS - Crown Tenures
Current Land Act tenures and applications for such tenures: a subset of crown land dispositions that are issued for specific purposes and periods of time under an agreement between an individual or company and the provincial government for an interest in crown land. Conveyances of ownership are not included. For example Leases, Licenses and Reserves are included, but Crown Grants and Acquisitions are not. Historical records (e.g. expired, replaced, or completed) are not included in this view.
TANTALIS - Crown Land Reserves and Notations
TA_CROWN_RSRV_NOTATIONS_SVW contains the spatial representation (polygon) of active and applied for Reserves and Notations. Reserves are a particular type of crown land tenure that grants an agency the right to implement a restriction on the use of crown land. Federal and Provincial government agencies and corporations may apply for the establishment of Land Act Reserves over high value sites required for public purposes, including research and education. Depending on the type of reserve (Order in Council, Map Reserve, Land Act Designation (which can be designated use or prohibitive use) and Notation of Interest) the area is withdrawn from disposition under the Land Act. The view was created to provide a simplified presentation of this single tenure type from the disposition information in the Tantalis operational system. The regulation defines two protection areas called "Area 1" and "Area 2".These areas provide direction on where and what type of residential development may take place near the airport. Area 1 comprises of lands immediately adjacent to the airport, where no new residential development will be permitted, except for replacement of buildings and minor infilling. Area 2 is located further away from the airport, where new or replacement residential development may be constructed. All development within the regulated lands must comply with indoor noise level limits set out in the Regulation. The parcel boundaries in this interactive map are representations of parcels as defined by plan of subdivision or plan of survey registered at the Land Titles Office. This type of property boundary was chosen because the land division in these plans is used to define property ownership in Manitoba.
