NG911 PSAP Boundary - Whitehorse
The PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) Boundary layer defines the given 911 authority's geographic area for the primary providers of response services for the City of Whitehorse. The primary use for the PSAP Boundary is to route emergency requests. Each PSAP Boundary defines the geographic area of a PSAP that has primary responsibilities for an emergency request. This layer is used by the ECRF (Emergency Call Routing Function) to perform a geographic query to determine the PSAP to which an emergency request is routed.Data was modeled using the NENA NG9-1-1 GIS Data Template (NENA-REF-006. 2 -202 2 ).Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . NG911 Fire Response Boundary - Whitehorse
The Fire Response Boundary layer defines the geographic area for the primary providers of response services. This layer is used by the ECRF (Emergency Call Routing Function) to perform a geographic query to determine which Emergency Service Providers are responsible for providing service to a location in the event a selective transfer is desired, to direct an Emergency Incident Data Document to a secondary PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) for dispatch, or to display the responsible agencies at the PSAP. In addition, Emergency Services Boundaries are used by PSAPs to identify the appropriate entities / first responders to be dispatched.Data was modeled using the NENA NG9-1-1 GIS Data Template (NENA-REF-006. 2 -202 2 ).Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . National Road Network - NRN - GeoBase Series
Notice - Replacement of the English and French Web services (WMS and ESRI REST) with a bilingual one.The NRN product is distributed in the form of thirteen provincial or territorial datasets and consists of two linear entities (Road Segment and Ferry Connection Segment) and three punctual entities (Junction, Blocked Passage, Toll Point) with which is associated a series of descriptive attributes such as, among others: First House Number, Last House Number, Street Name Body, Place Name, Functional Road Class, Pavement Status, Number Of Lanes, Structure Type, Route Number, Route Name, Exit Number. The development of the NRN was realized by means of individual meetings and national workshops with interested data providers from the federal, provincial, territorial and municipal governments. In 2005, the NRN edition 2.0 was alternately adopted by members from the Inter-Agency Committee on Geomatics (IACG) and the Canadian Council on Geomatics (CCOG). The NRN content largely conforms to the ISO 14825 from ISO/TC 204.

National Railway Network - NRWN - GeoBase Series
The National Rail Network (NRWN) is a geometric and attributive description of the Canadian rail network. The NRWN product consists of the features classes: Track Segment, Railway Crossing, Railway Station, Marker Post, Junction and Railway Structure. Descriptive attributes include amongst others: Track Classification, Track Name, Track Operator, Track User, Track Owner, Subdivision Name, Junction Type, Crossing Type, Level of Crossing, Warning System, Transport Canada Identifier, Station Name, Station Type, Station User, Structure Type.
Surficial Geology Polygon - 25k
The Yukon Geological Survey (YGS) has compiled over 195 surficial geology maps into a standardized GIS format, providing approximately 80% coverage of the territory. The maps range in scales from 1:250,000 to 1:10,000 with spatial overlap between scales. The original maps were produced by various agencies, including the Geological Survey of Canada, YGS, Yukon Government, universities, and the City of Whitehorse. All original feature descriptions have been preserved and also converted to standardized values using the Yukon terrain classification system. The compilation includes 4 GIS datasets and supporting documents available for download via [YGS integrated data system](https://data.geology.gov.yk.ca/Compilation/33) (YGSIDS) or GeoYukon. A .lyr file is [provided](https://data.geology.gov.yk.ca/Compilation/33) to symbolize feature classes and differentiate overlapping maps at different scales. Additionally, there is a surficial geology map index. The polygon attributes captured include surficial material, texture, age, surface expression, and geomorphological processes.Line features include geological contacts, glacial limits, glacial landforms (cirques, arêtes, eskers, meltwater channels, moraines), and non-glacial landforms (faults, lineaments, landslides, escarpments).Point features include field station, fossil and sample locations, glacial landforms (erratics, kames, kettles, drumlins, flutings), permafrost features (pingos, palsas, patterned ground, thermokarst depressions), and other non-glacial landforms (landslides, tors). The map index provides information on each map publication such as author, map title, map scale, publisher. These data are valuable for land-use applications in the territory, including: mineral and placer exploration, geotechnical engineering, infrastructure planning, granular resource assessments, permafrost modeling, agricultural assessments, forest management, and biophysical or ecological land classification.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Surface precipitation type product (SPTP)
This product is a 1km resolution composite over the North American domain, which, for areas with radar coverage, can distinguish the occurrence, type and intensity of precipitation. This product uses two 1km radar composites as input: a North American composite cleaned using dual polarization technology, another particle classification radar composite (precipitation) and surface temperature from the High Resolution Deterministic Prediction System (HRDPS). The SPTP product is produced every 6 minutes.
Road network - RTSS
The Quebec road network, which is managed by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MTMD), is represented on the interactive map according to the functional class of roads: Highway, National, Regional, Collector, Local 1-2-3, Local 1-2-3, Access resources, Access to resources and isolated locations. Some routes in the dataset are also under federal management or in public-private partnerships (PPP). The road network is inventoried according to the MTMD linear reference system. The linear reference is expressed under the acronym RTSS (Road, Section, Section, Sub-road). The inventoried roads are composed of a 14-character alphanumeric code and an associated measure called chaining (distance measured in meters). An inventoried route will therefore have a starting link (always 0) and an end link representing its length. Thus, the chaining value of a point can be extrapolated precisely to this point. The linear reference method is applied both in the field by different reference points and for the management of digital data of related road assets.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
