Public land use plans (PATP)
The allocation of public land consists in defining the government's guidelines for the use and protection of public territory.PATPs make it possible to guide the interventions of the various actors in the field by providing them with the necessary bases for integrated management of land and resources in the State domain. This strategic approach thus contributes to the harmonious and sustainable development of public land, while reducing conflicts of use.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Public Land Use Zone
The Public Land Use Zone (PLUZ) dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent Public Land Use Zones in Alberta. A Public Land Use Zone is an area of land to which legislative controls are applied to achieve particular land management objectives identified in a guiding land and resource plan. They can be used to protect areas containing sensitive resources such as wildlife and their habitats, vegetation, soils and watersheds as well as to separate or manage conflicting recreational activities. These areas have been designated as Public Land Use Zones, under the authority of Section 178 and 208 of the Public Lands Administration Regulation (PLAR) under the Public Lands Act. Public Land Use Zones were formerly known as Forest Land Use Zones (FLUZ) which were designated under the former Forest Recreation Regulation under the Forests Act. The Public Lands Administration Regulation came into effect on September 12, 2011. At this time, Forest Land Use Zones under the Forest Recreation Regulation were incorporated into the Public Lands Act and Public Lands Administration Regulation. As a result, Forest Land Use Zone became Public Land Use Zone.
Crown Land Reservations
A Crown land reservation is a tool under Section 18(c) of the Public Lands Act, to identify a management intent that will inform and provide direction to potential land users and regulatory bodies as authorized under the Public Lands Act. A reservation is not a disposition, does not grant any rights to public land or rights to access or occupy public land or rights to the resources on the land or under it. The Crown Land Reservations dataset displays reservations under application or active with their associated data attributes allowing users to view and access existing or proposed reservation information that could influence their application if a proposed activity intersects. More information can be found at www.alberta.ca/land-use-reservation-program.aspx
Registered Fur Management Area

A Registered Fur Management Area (RFMA) is a parcel of public land, the boundary of which is described on the Registered Fur Management Licence. If a Registered Fur Management Area is described by reference to a line, that area includes all land within 0.5 mile on each side of that line. A Registered Fur Management Licence permits the licence holder to hunt and trap fur-bearing animals on the lands described on the licence.
TANTALIS - Crown Land Leases
TA_CROWN_LEASES_SVW - A Crown Land Lease is a type of land tenure issued under the Land Act. Crown Leases require a (cadastral) survey prior to issuance

Land Licences
Land under administration and control of Government of Yukon and disposed of by the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources (EMR), Land Management Branch in the form of active licences of occupation. A licence grants permission to do something which without the licence would not be allowable. Land Management Branch licences typically permit the construction and maintenance of power, telephone, water or sewer utilities on Commissioner's land. Licences of occupation are linear in nature and often extend long distances, hence the requirement for a separate feature class.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . TANTALIS - Crown Land Reserves and Notations
TA_CROWN_RSRV_NOTATIONS_SVW contains the spatial representation (polygon) of active and applied for Reserves and Notations. Reserves are a particular type of crown land tenure that grants an agency the right to implement a restriction on the use of crown land. Federal and Provincial government agencies and corporations may apply for the establishment of Land Act Reserves over high value sites required for public purposes, including research and education. Depending on the type of reserve (Order in Council, Map Reserve, Land Act Designation (which can be designated use or prohibitive use) and Notation of Interest) the area is withdrawn from disposition under the Land Act. The view was created to provide a simplified presentation of this single tenure type from the disposition information in the Tantalis operational system. The same content could be derived from the TA_CROWN_TENURES_SVW by filtering to this tenure type only
