Ministry of Transportation (MOT) Linear Safety Feature
A Linear Safety Feature is one of a number of various appliances/appurtenances that have been installed or constructed either alongside or as an integral part of the road infrastructure to reduce the severity or potential of accidents. It is a Linear feature
Geotechnical report point
Geotechnical reports are indexed within a database maintained by HPW-TEB Geotechnical Unit. Meta data associated to each geotechnical report are captured within this indexing table, including report reference number, title, author, highway and km start and end. The table has been modified to include columns that aid in georeferencing geotechnical reports. Added columns include route ID, Latitude, and Longitude.Transportation Engineering Branch is continually improving its geographical information systems with a major focus on creating linear referencing routes within ArcGIS. Georeferencing geotechnical reports will utilize the linear referencing routes in creating points and line shape files by referencing the highway number and km points or ranges as defined within the indexing table.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Linear hydrography
Linear hydrographic network of the City of Rouyn-Noranda. The ditches ofdrainage is not included.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**

Manitoba Road Network 2022
Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure's road network, current to 2022.Created by Manitoba Infrastructure, the 2022 Manitoba Road Network comprises four years of updates.Previous exports were based on the now legacy Control Sections. In this updated road network, the department adapts an Advanced Linear Referencing System (ALRS) with an Linear Referencing Method based on routes. This new model was build from the control section geometry and then enhanced by adding updated northern roads geometry captured by GPS, as well as interchanges, right turn cutoffs, service roads, and other road alignments not previously captured in the legacy road network.Fields included [Alias (Field Name): Field description.] OBJECTID (OBJECTID): Sequential, unique whole numbers are automatically system generated. Route ID (RouteId): The route's identifier, an information rich key comprised of designation, route name, and route type. Route Designation (RteDesignation): The designated level of government responsible for the road. Route Name (RteName): The name of the route, including direction. Route Type (RteType): The type of route, e.g. PTH (Provincial Trunk Highway), PR (Provincial Road), Acess (Provincial Access Road) Road Number (Signed) (Road_Number_Signed): A highway number labelling field. Shape Length (Shape__Length): Length in meters automatically system generated.
Road network - RTSS
The Quebec road network, which is managed by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MTMD), is represented on the interactive map according to the functional class of roads: Highway, National, Regional, Collector, Local 1-2-3, Local 1-2-3, Access resources, Access to resources and isolated locations. Some routes in the dataset are also under federal management or in public-private partnerships (PPP). The road network is inventoried according to the MTMD linear reference system. The linear reference is expressed under the acronym RTSS (Road, Section, Section, Sub-road). The inventoried roads are composed of a 14-character alphanumeric code and an associated measure called chaining (distance measured in meters). An inventoried route will therefore have a starting link (always 0) and an end link representing its length. Thus, the chaining value of a point can be extrapolated precisely to this point. The linear reference method is applied both in the field by different reference points and for the management of digital data of related road assets.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**

This is a spatial layer showing Ministry of Forests Recreation Lines. These are the linear spatial representation for features such as recreation trails
Ministry of Transportation (MOT) Guardrail
A Guardrail is a barrier fastened to the end of a bridge abutment, along the shoulder of a road or between travel lanes of opposing traffic. It is a Linear feature
