MTA - Coal Grid, Block
Determines the location of Coal Titles within the Province of British Columbia. It is established under the authority of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Grid Regulation. It is defined by a set of UTM coordinates which approximate NAD 27 latitude and longitude positions. Blocks are the second finest level of the coal grid. A block consists of 100 units divided into 10 rows by 10 columns. There are also 12 blocks in a group, comprising 3 rows by 4 columns and labelled A to L. E.G. 084E05L

First Nation Settlement Lands - 1M (Legacy)
Notice: This layer is out of date and scheduled to be retired October 31, 2026.Yukon First Nations and Tetlit Gwich'in settlement lands including both rural blocks (R-block) and Fee Simple lands of the First Nations that have ratified their agreements. This data was built using the 1:1,000,000 Digital Chart of the World (DCW) as the base and the 1:30,000 signed Territorial Research Base Maps (TRBM) to define the boundaries.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps). First Nation Settlement Lands - 250k (Legacy)
Notice: This layer is out of date and scheduled to be retired October 31, 2026.Yukon First Nations and Tetlit Gwich'in settlement lands including both rural blocks (R-block) and Fee Simple lands of the First Nations that have ratified their agreements. Settlement land is land identified in a first nation's final agreement as settlement land of the first nation. There are three types of settlement land that a Yukon First Nation can own and manage: Category A: complete ownership of surface and subsurface; Category B: complete ownership of the surface only; Fee Simple: private ownership. This data was built using the 1:250,000 National Topographic Data Base (NTDB) as the base and the 1:30,000 signed Territorial Research Base Maps (TRBM) to define the boundaries.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps). First Nation Settlement Lands - Surveyed (Legacy)
Notice: This layer is being retired on October 31, 2026 and has been replaced by First Nation Settlement Lands - Overview. Surveyed Cadastral Framework for Yukon First Nations and Tetlit Gwich'in settlement lands including rural blocks (R-block) and Site specific (S-sites) lands of the First Nations that have ratified their agreements. In the source NRCAN ICM dataset all First Nation Lands were included in the Land_parcel feature class. They have being extracted from land_parcel to produce this separate feature class.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps). FADM - Timber Supply Blocks (TSB) - View
The spatial representation for current Timber Supply Blocks (TSB). A Timber Supply Area is a designated area established by the Ministry in order to practice sound, integrated, resource management principles to improve the allowable annual cuts. TSAs were originally defined by an established pattern of wood flow from management units to the primary timber-using industries. They are the primary unit for allowable annual cut (AAC) determination. A TSA Supply Block is a designated area within the TSA where the Ministry approves the allowable annual cuts
Petroleum Crown Lake Grid
This information is used to manage oil and gas rights on offshore Crown lands in Ontario. A grid system of blocks and tracts is used to divide the area. 1 block = 5 minute longitude by 5 minute latitude numbered area. 1 tract = 1 minute longitude by 1 minute latitude area, assigned by letters . 1 block contains 25 tracts. This product requires the use of geographic information system (GIS) software.
NTS Grid 1:50 000
This dataset is produced for the Government of Alberta and is available to the general public. Note that the distribution contact is different for the general public than for Government of Alberta ministries. Please consult the Distribution Information of this metadata for the appropriate contact to acquire this dataset. The National Topographic System of Canada (NTS) is a national mapping reference grid defined by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) that is based on degrees of latitude and longitude. Starting at the Prime Meridian and at the Equator, the 1:50 000 grid is formed by intersecting every 1/4 degree of the meridians with every 1/2 degrees of parallels. It can also true that the standard 1:250 000 NTS block is broken down into 16 1:50 000 blocks that a numbered south to north alternating east to west then west to east from one to 16. Each polygon in the grid is designated with a two digit number. a single letter and two additional numbers (Example 83H08). The province of Alberta is covered by 670 complete and 131 partially complete 1:50 000 NTS blocks.
NTS Grid 1:20 000
This dataset is produced for the Government of Alberta and is available to the general public. Note that the distribution contact is different for the general public than for Government of Alberta ministries. Please consult the Distribution Information of this metadata for the appropriate contact to acquire this dataset. The National Topographic System of Canada (NTS) is a national mapping reference grid defined by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) that is based on degrees of latitude and longitude. Starting at the Prime Meridian and at the Equator, the 1:50 000 grid is formed by intersecting every 1/8 degree of the meridians with every 1/4 degrees of parallels. It is also true that the standard 1:20 000 NTS block is broken down into 4 1:20 000 blocks that are labelled by quadrant. Each polygon in the grid is designated with a two digit number. a single letter. two additional numbers and a two letter quadrant value (Example 83H08NE). The 1:20 000 NTS grid was developed to support the Provincial Digital Base Mapping Project and is not part of the formal NRCan NTS program. The province of Alberta is covered by 2838 complete and 269 partially complete 1:20 000 NTS blocks.
